Here is our new thread ladies (Nikki, Andrea, Kristian, Marissa...and whoever else will be starting at MC this fall).

I'm the same way. So exactly how long do you have to sit on the edge of your seat?

I guess that depends on how soon I get the results. My appt is in the morning-9:15 and it's @ the Montgomery County Health Dept. (xrays are cheaper for in county residents.) How about you?

Amazon almost never takes as long as they say they will. They told me most of my books wouldn't come until July 18 but I started getting them 2 days ago. Still waiting for 5 more...

I hope both of you get good news today/this weekend. Any plans for the 4th?

Let us know how today went Kristian. I won't hear anything until Tues. I guess I could call to see if the results are in but I'm not too worried about it.

I was looking at the tracking info off of Amazon's website and it said July 6.

We are going up toward Baltimore to spend the 4th with family.

The 6th isn't far off. Are all of your books being shipped together?

We're going up to Columbia to spend the 4th with family as well. We were thinking about going downtown this year but I'm not sure I want to deal with all the traffic and crowds with a 4 year old! Maybe next year...

Hi girls,

Got the cxr done. I won't get the results until about a wk. The good news is I was allowed to leave-the technician did share w/ me that I would have been detained if he saw anything indicating active TB. Of course, nothing is official until the doc looks at it. I would think/hope that they would detain ppl immediately. I also found out the scar over my left deltoid is from a bcg vaccination. Should I still be worried???

Ya, they should all be coming at the same time. I'm not in a rush I was just surprised it would take so long because usually with Amazon you don't need to wait very long.

I just remembered a dream I had last night. It was registration day and everything was going wrong for me. I didn't have the proper papers/info with me. Then I ended up getting the 3rd to last number in the lottery. Then I found out I wasn't even accepted into the final round of the applications. They denied me becuase of my age. I know, it doesn't make sense but it was a train wreck. Hopefully the actual registration day will go more smoothly. ;-)

Glad they didn't detect anything Krisitan. Hopefully the week flies by. I don't know what a bcg vaccine is.

So have you guys finalized your schedule and clinical choices? I've got my clinical choices but I have yet to decide on my class schedule.

A bcg vaccine:bacille Calmette-Guerin, is a vaccine for TB disease- it's given in many countries i.e. countries in Africa, Asia. to prevent childhood tuberculous meningitis and miliary disease.

Well maybe that is why your PPD came back positive. If you had the vaccination you were likely exposed to it. Right?
