Got my Medisave email today :) EXCITED!!! lol

All paid up for the semester. Gonna try to go get my Student ID tomorrow, or if my neighbor can watch Dominic on Thursday while I go to LabCorp I may go to MC then to get my ID so I don't have to take him with me.

Checked my PreCheck account to see if my drug test had gone through yet, but it hasn't :( I'm sure the drug/alcohol screen will take longer than the background check did.

Meanwhile, just received all of Dominic's back to school papers in the mail today and now I have a ton of those to fill out. Medical forms, "About Me" form, emergency contact form, field trip waiver, etc. I thought I was done with filling out forms for the summer! Not to mention a Back to School Night and Orientation morning for the new Pre-K class....sigh...the good thing is that he's very excited to go back to school (not sure he quite understands that he'll be going 5 days a week now though instead of 3!).

Just finished dinner and I promised him we'd bake cookies tonight, so off I go...check up with you all later :)

Wow, that was fast Andrea! I'm excited too, get to try it out on my hubby and dog!

FYI, we'll need to stop by the Cashier's, Admissions' or Financial Aid Office for a current sticker and another form of photo ID to get our student ID.

I guess it'll be closer to a week before our status is updated on PreCheck.

Just when you thought paperwork was done...time to jump through more hoops!

Have fun baking cookies!

Got my 2nd HepB today. Doc didn't want to make a copy of the paper documenting it because I got it a few days earlier than the 4 weeks and he didn't want me to have an administrative issue. All he gave me was an excuse slip where he wrote the date and noted that I had received my 2nd HepB injection. You think that is enough? Do I need to mail/fax it to Prof. M? Luckily they let me in to see the actual doc so I was able to get another Z-pack for my cough.

I know what you mean about paperwork Andrea. Now I've got paperwork to complete for Liam's day care and after reading that I wondered if I had to get some paperwork for Lucas' school year, like med forms and such. I've gotten nothing and we aren't supposed to get teacher assignment until a few days before the start of school. I'll be irate if I'm only given a couple days to get stuff done.

So what exactly is due by the 15th? I know we are supposed to have the drug/alcohol test done by then. Do they post an update on precheck or mail us something that we are then supposed to submit to Prof. M? What else does she want by then?

I think PreCheck will be updated as soon as the results are cleared. I don't think we have to give Professor Matthews anything about that though; I think I remember her saying that she would only be contacted if there was an issue (like a positive reading for something). I think it just has to be DONE by August 15th? Not sure on this though...Also, I think any immunizations that are yet to be done need to be in by August 15th at the very latest but probably the sooner the better.

My neighbor said she would watch Dominic for me tomorrow to go to LabCorp so that's helpful. I think I'll wait til next week to get my ID though. I have so much to do to get ready for the weekend. It's my first time leaving Dominic overnight (let alone 2 nights!) so I'm making sure everything is in order: clothes laid out, food prepared in tupperware, indoor activities, etc. My mom is supposed to be taking him to Kingsdominion on Saturday with his cousin and my mom's sister so I also have to pack a bag with sunscreen, extra clothes, snacks, towel, etc. Not to mention I have to pack me and my husband up for the weekend, and pick up my friends from the bus station in DC tomorrow night, AND go to my stepdad's house to pick up the beach house key. AND Dominic has 2 playdates tomorrow that I scheduled before this beach trip and I don't want to cancel cuz he's looking forward to them, and since I won't see him all weekend I kind of want to follow through with it. Whew...all typed out it seems like more than what it actually is lol

I must say, my medical dictionary is really coming in handy with the key terms from Chapter 34. There are lots of them by the way. But I really do love my dictionary, now that I'm actually using it. Big font, clear definitions, colored illustrations, easy to find the words. It is definitely GINORMOUS since it's a hardback but I think it was worth it :) Hoping to finish the rest of the chapter before I leave on Friday.

Hey girls,

Wow, you two still have a full plate!

Nikki, on the sheet Prof. M gave us @ registration, the fax # is written at the bottom. I'd think faxing what the doc gave you would be fine. Yes, our school would not be getting the results of the test; they'll be contacted only if there is an issue. And as long as we get the test done by 08/15, we're good to go...that's my understanding.

Andrea, did you get your stuff from Redding yet? I think my UPS guy was already in the neighborhood and I haven't gotten mine.

I've been so bad about reading...spent a couple of hrs clearing out my email inbox instead, over 9,000 emails! Talk about distractions...

LOL Kristian! Sounds like someone is procrastinating... ;) Although I HATE it when I have that many e-mails...and it does take forever to sort through them all! I'm so jealous of my hubby; he never leaves e-mails in his inbox unless it's a receipt or something...then he deletes it once it's gone through and been received. He's so good about stuff like that. I should have him manage my e-mail! He also never signs up for anything (and I sign up for everything!) so he almost never gets junk mail :p

I didn't get my stuff from Redding yet, but I haven't seen any UPS trucks yet. They usually don't come until late afternoon when they do. The lady said I should be getting it today, so we'll see...

There are several UPS trucks that come through here a day. Usually two.

I keep getting updates from luggage.com delaying shipment of my backpack. Hopefully I least get it before school starts.

I got an email from the company I ordered my equipment from saying PART of my order has shipped. But I don't know WHAT that part is. Oh btw, how pathetic am I? The gal who took my vitals at the doc this morning had her stetho around her neck. I said..."Littman lightweight, caribbean blue." She was like whaaaa? Ya, I am that much of a nerd. Turns out she is starting her prereqs at MC for nursing so she started asking me questions.

OK, so I should fax the 2nd HepB documentation to Prof. M? And I don't need to do anything more with the drug/alcohol test.

It would be helpful to know what part...which co. is this?

Yes, fax that to her and you don't need to do anything else for the test.

I got my stuff from redding! Didn't hear the truck pull up... The instruments are kinda cheap, but will do. And the engraving is nothing to brag about, will rub off w/ wear. The organizer is decent, at least it'll keep things together. It has a lot of sep. compartments and a lg pocket on the back. It also comes w/ removable velcro snaps to secure items like scissors, forceps. As for the BP unit, it's nicer than I thought. Very well made, impressed cuz it was only about $30. Started playing with it. Wish I had my steth!

Nikki, what's her position @ your doc's office? When will she be applying?
