The years spent doing pre-reqs have finally paid off. =] I'm excited (and nervous) for what's to come over the next two years. How is everyone feeling now that you've (likely) received your admission packet? My head is spinning from the book list alone. I have a few of the books but earlier editions; hopefully, they'll let me use them. What shoes are people going to be getting? I can't find a pair of all white sneakers. One thing is for sure, I do not want a pair of 70's nurse shoes or worse, clogs! Haha
I've purchased about 1/2 the book list yesterday. Going to knock out the rest in stores. I'm pretty bummed that I was told I need the most recent versions. Guess that means we will be doing online content as well. (We better for the prices of these books [emoji51]).
How is everyone doing? What have you gotten done so far? Has anyone signed in to Moodlerooms? I keep forgetting to log in and I can't remember my username (paper is at home). I'm wondering if any additional assignments have been posted.
My to do list has shortened. I purchased the supplies, the required reading (and some optionals), and set up my physical for next week. I'm going to order my uniform today or tomorrow and register for the CPR training once I settle on a place. Phew! That's a lot. But I want to get everything out of the way so I can enjoy the rest of the month before the semester begins.
So I signed into Moodleroom ONCE:roflmao: since I have had my sign in. I am currently an LPN at Montefiore so i have pretty much all my supplies. I used to work for my so my physical is on Monday. I am going to order my uniforms right now. It is mandate that I am CPR certified so I already handed in a copy of my CPR card. I already took my flu shot. So all that is left is getting theses book.
I'm 100% with you in that sentiment! These prices are ridiculous! That's why I was scouring the net looking for coupons. Why the heck do books cost so much?!?!? Geez!
Ive been MIA trying to finish up the semester. I'm currently taking A&P II and Microbio, and this last minute crunch has my head spinning.
I'm SO exciting about getting started!! actually... I'm SUPER nervous!!! AHH!!
I managed to order most of my books. I should be done with this task this week so that I can begin working on the readings/assignments. Oh, I need to buy a good recorder for lecture!!

I was thinking of using my laptop to record, but I don't know if it can record that long. (4+3 hour lectures). Aargh. Guess I'll be borrowing a mini recorder, if we even have them here.

That's awesome I didn't get my acceptance packet yet I should next week so I dont have the book list but hopefully there will still be good deals!
And yes the commute will be rough... Especially for the 645 AM start on saturdays!
