Montefiore School of Nursing Spring 2020

Hello all!

I know it's early to make this thread but I wanted to see who else is planning to apply to this program.

The first open house is in February. Anybody else going?

I want to find out if there’s anyone higher than Channelle and ms Walker cause I want answers.

I would go in to the school and request a print out of my score. I did the test at Cochran and was given a print out right after the exam.

I haven't received neither also. So frustrating makes me think it was probably a great thing that I wasn't accepted because who wants to deal with school officials who are not prompt and give excuses for everything not done. Not me!!!!

I know, its frustrating but its time to move on. Try Cochran for the fall, don't miss the deadline. Take the exam over if you have to. I wish everyone get in for the next semester.

So if we reapply for Jan 2021 at montefiore, can we retake the Kaplan exam?

Yes, you have to retake the exam, its good for a year unless you applying for the day program which starts in the fall. I would advice you to try to score 80 and above. I think the kaplan score has alot to do with acceptance. It seems like if you score 90 you are automatically in.

I think it's a lot more than score. There was someone on here who got a 90 and was not accepted. I have 2 degrees and a Kaplan score higher than some of the people who were accepted. There's more to the story. I certainly believe Montefiore employees have higher priority and other factors play a role I imagine. I got my rejection email Fri Dec 6th. Their process is very inefficient. It was a learning experience and I hope to make the best of the situation and move on.

Ok so I just finished the program, as far as the admissions process no matter how much you try to figure it out only a select few faculty know how it works, everyone else is just playing a guessing game! It’s a great school you learn a lot and it will humble you tremendously... the school is tiny, everyone knows you by name but because it’s small any expectations of fast responses and etc should be forgotten ... it’s worth the money if you’re up for the challenge, get your Kaplan score and apply to Cochran with it they have lower standards for admission.( I think they take a 67 ) if u all them they’ll tell to us.. also if you don’t have your pre reqs it’s a hard balance to complete while in school... you have regular class , lab, clinicals .... and exams for all ( evaluations for clinicals )... DONT GVE UP !!! It’s hard as heck but it’s possible ..

Hey girl!! Congrats on your graduation ? I am starting the program in the spring and I have a few questions for you?? I tried private messaging you but it wouldn’t let me for some reason. Do you mind if we exchange emails??
