  1. Sure idk how you will send me your email though...
  2. Ok so I just finished the program, as far as the admissions process no matter how much you try to figure it out only a select few faculty know how it works, everyone else is just playing a guessing game! It’s a great school you learn a lot and it will humble you tremendously... the school is tiny, everyone knows you by name but because it’s small any expectations of fast responses and etc should be forgotten ... it’s worth the money if you’re up for the challenge, get your Kaplan score and apply to Cochran with it they have lower standards for admission.( I think they take a 67 ) if u all them they’ll tell to us.. also if you don’t have your pre reqs it’s a hard balance to complete while in school... you have regular class , lab, clinicals .... and exams for all ( evaluations for clinicals )... DONT GVE UP !!! It’s hard as heck but it’s possible ..
  3. Deffinetly not, and actually in school those with experience do not have the advantage academically because real practice vs nclex and school is not always the same and lots of bias .... fresh new mind excels ... it does help with clinicals and not being nervous with patients, I’ve seen with some classmates...
  4. In n1 it's good to have access codes because it gives you access to practice questions which is super important..
  5. Plenty of people in the seventies and 80s and 90's who did/didn't get in.... KAPLAN IS TOTALLY NOT how they base they're decision otherwise everyone in class should have similar grade ranges .... I seen people who are missing a&p in class and others who aren't missing anything rant on this site about not getting in so yea .... don't break your head trying to figure it out..
  6. This is actually fun to read, so last year this time I was exactly the same way all hype and then got in now I'm finishing N2 - going on to N3 in January so I'll see you guys! It's super exciting but it's not a walk in the park, you can't wing nursing school and you really have to listen to your n1 professor she is soooo right about a lot of things in regards to being a student..NURISNG SCHOOL WILL HUMBLE YOU!!!... the schools small and awesome but there are plenty of ways to mess up like dosage calculations u better have it together also if your moody don't mess with your lab instructor he will eat you alive .... besides that it's fun exciting and overwhelming ... you don't realize how much your learning until u hit nursing 2!!!! Then you'll be impressed... HMU here I guess if you have some questions I wish I had a person when I was this excited, side note don't call so much they won't tell you, you'll get an email then later a packet ... you will do a drug test ... and then it's Go time .... time flies, it really does , but you will have to sacrifice ALOT! Atleast I am, in order to stay ahead of the game!!
  7. We have to get validated on everything in order to do it at clinical.... sounds like your school doesn't do that!!! Speak to the dean before they make you look incompetent!
  8. A full time job is not impossible!! I do it everyday!! It's all about time management, good luck!
  9. Yep took about 3 weeks, a 2x was like a dress and I'm a big guy hopefully you ordered a size that fits but remember first two clinicals no uniform, so you've got time! The pants you can buy on Amazon for 11 bucks I had to get them hemmed and tapered, but that's just me lol í ½í¸Ž
  10. I'm excited about it, orientation was cancelled so more time to read all those chapters !!! Lol
  11. I dropped off my deposit, was advised the admissions packs are a little late but for GOOD reason. You all will find out soon! ( possibly financial aid IN 2018). CONGRATS, AND NEVER GIVE UP!
  12. I only say that because from what my friends have told me nursing school and the nclex require critical thinking
  13. I think the critical thinking score means more than they'll admit!
  14. They email you two attachments one with your score breakdown and the other with the orientation dates and a memo to not dare contact them while waiting for your status, lol. They allow many pre reqs while you're in, I have all of mine completed.
