Hello all!

I know it's early to make this thread but I wanted to see who else is planning to apply to this program.

The first open house is in February. Anybody else going?

There is a set timer for each section. You will be able to see it to keep track of your time when answering questions. I took off my apple watch and put it in my book bag just in case if someone called/texted me. I didn't want to be accused of cheating ?

lol and thats why I didn't even bother wearing mines ?

Do you guys think they have different versions of the test? Or everyone got the same EXACT questions? What y’all really think???????

I think it's the same test for everyone. I've read some people took the Kaplan at a different school and Montefiore, and apparently it was the same questions.

Hey y'all! I was scouring the forums looking for info concerning the Kaplan and y'alls thread was one of the most recent. I'm applying to a university in Arizona but I already took my Kaplan. I just wanted to ask how many of y'all have taken it so far? I only ask because there was mention of the science section and whether it has the same questions on every test. I was under the same impression but on my test, I had completely different questions than what others had said. I don't know if there are different versions of the Kaplan everywhere or if it's based off regions, but mine was nothing like the study guides on quizlet and some other people's previous posts. Sorry for hijacking the post from a complete stranger but I've been looking for other people that have taken it and wanted to know if their experience was different as well.

Hi everyone, I just have a quick question, hopefully someone can help me. I am starting to study for the Kaplan exam (so freaking nervous), but I am lost when it comes to studying for the writing, and reading sections. What have you guys been using to study for those sections, or what did you guys use, if you already took the exam?

Hmm... thats actually a really good question. Im not sure if the questions are the exact same and they switched it up or if they are completely the same, but im sure the test are all probably based on the same concepts. Even if the questions aren't the exact same they probably used the same concepts to create the test. Not really sure if they vary from state to state but maybe you can ask an advisor or someone from a school that administers the Kaplan exam. I hope this kind of answered your question.

Hey, and dont be nervous lol. You definitely got this. The test wasn't that bad if you study. Honestly for the writing section I dont think theres really any way to study for it. Just know your basic subject-verb agreements, puncuations and how to replace sentences within a paragraph. The writing section was really hard and I didn't really study for it cause I didn't know what to study. For reading it was pretty simple. Its mostly just analyzing a story and answering the questions. I found that this was one of the easiest sections and for this section as well I didn't really study. I was more focused on the science and math section but if you have the Kaplan prep book you can kind of use that for reading portion.

Thank you! I was thinking about renting an SAT book for the reading and writing and using quizlet for math and definitely science.

Yeah I think the SAT book could be of some help and your welcome.
