Hey guys! I am new to this.
I am in the process of gathering all that I need in order to apply to this school. I am concerned about their admitting process.. Did everyone on here who was eligible to take the Kaplan test have a C or higher in chem in hs? What if you didn't take it/didn't pass? I never took chem in college either .. Also, I see some on here speaking about pre-reqs. Do I have to have those done prior to applying? Please help

Hi,
You will need to take chemistry. You do not HAVE to take ALL pre-requesites, but it would increase your chances of being admitted. You need as many pre-requisite classes (Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, and Chemistry) to have the knowledge base that will help you pass the Kaplan entrance exam (from what I hear the score on the Kaplan exam is a very big factor in being admitted to that school). The school itself also will put people with more pre-requisites completed as a higher priority. They have more knowledge and also it shows greater commitment to nursing education/profession. I did have a C or higher in Chemistry. The key with Chem is to do ALL assignments and do ANY extra credit (if offered) to get your grade up, also make sure to buddy up with someone. Chemistry is not technically considered a pre-requisite, but it is important and they look at that. Happy trails and good luck! The application deadlines for 2020 have passed, but you may be able to apply for 2021.

From my understating you still have time to apply for the Fall 2020 which is the day time program. The deadline for that is in March. I am not sure about the deadline to apply for spring 2020 but when I called in October they told me I still had time to apply. As long as you have most of your prerequisites you should be fine. Good luck

hello all future RNs anyone here is taking chemistry from Nursingabc? I am in the process of applying to Monte but I am trying to figure out which chem class I am supposed to register for. The pamphlet that was given to me when I attended the info session only says lab chemistry but there are 4 to choose from and I do not want to register for the wrong one. Thank you in advance
