Hey, Has anyone applied to the program yet?

@sja22 They calculate their our GPA by taking all of your prerequisites/corequisites course(s) and calculate the GPA of those grades. That GPA has to be at least a 2.75.

What about the ones who did not complete all the prerequisites classes ;( ?

@Criza They will calculate the GPA with the prereqs/coreqs that you have taken thus far. 

If you haven't taken any prereqs at all they will use your highschool GPA.

Did they canceled the Kaplan for real? If so what are they going to use to make a decision?

Hey yes they waived the entrance exam for thr evening program only. Im patiently waiting to hear back from the school. So anxious

Hi everyone. I applied to the evening program at Montefiore School of nursing. Im currently waiting to hear back from them. I was told mid October we should have an answer whether we got accepted or not. This is so anxious. I am currently at wcc taking anatomy 1. I was able to complete most of of my pre-requisite. I have a 3.5 GPA hopefully thats strong enough. Wishing you guys all the luck

I’m not sure I think maybe just the GPA of the prerequisites.

Yes they calculate your GPA based on pre requisites thats needed for that specific program

Hello everyone,

 

I am currently waiting for a decision as well for the upcoming semester (evening) I completed all of my prerequisites and I am currently taking Micro. I actually applied back in March, got accepted, scheduled my test date only for it to get canceled due to COVID. 

Did anyone start studying for the entrance exam ? I’m so nervous ?

Hey hun so the entrance exam has been waived due to Covid. So there is no entrance exam for the evening program this year. We are a little confused on how they will be basing their decision. I would think based on our GPA and letter of reccomendation. Good luck.

Thank you for that information. Did they send you an email stating that? I’m just curious because I didn’t receive and email from them yet.

Hi no they don't send you an email once you hand in all your documents you call them and then Mrs ****** will let you know over the phone how the entrance exam for the evening program is waived. Only for this year. You can call her Monday if you like to confirm with her
