I have no idea who my student advisor is ! I agree ! I could see things are a bit unorganized. I hope you get to speak to someone. How do you get access to the classes to see how much space there is ? I’m thinking if no one class me back I will  make a trip to the school.

Wow! Thank you for the information. Sounds like a lot,  I’m glad you got through to someone and your taking steps to get things done. I have to try to make more phone calls , because I’m a bit confused.

@dnune06106 OK , awesome thank you ! Did you get yours class schedule yet ?

Hey,

yes I did.

hello you guys, I know this is a little unorthodox but congratulations on being accepted at monroe. The first step in the nursing profession. First off, with ANY nursing program, you will be teaching yourself more than 50% of the time. Nursing is a completely different way of thinking, this is not getting those easy A's in biology, english and math. Nursing is all about critical thinking, risk assessment and reduction, safety and most importantly evidence base. My advice to any new nursing student is to start practicing you NCLEX style questions. you can start by studying and practicing questions on nurselabs fundamentals. complete all of them and read the rationales. monroe provide you a ton of resources for success and the professors are supportive and listen to your concerns, but in the end, you are the one who can make or break the program. the first semester is always the hardest but it gets easier as you progress. At the end of your first semester, you will be a completely different individual. good luck!

Did anyone get a denial letter for fall ?

Hi all,

I'm currently in the process of Applying to the ABSN program for January 2023 and I had a few questions about pre requisites. Do all the pre-reqs need to be done prior to submitting application, can my transcripts be looked at by an admission counselor prior to applying?

I tried to ask these questions directly but had no luck with the school, hoping to get some clarity here.

You can apply but your application won’t be submitted by an advisor until everything is completed. I was working on my application for over a year and speaking with ------------------------- the admissions counselor to make sure everything was done. She will look at the transcripts and tell you what is missing. But it wasn’t until all of my prerequisites and my TEAS was completed that I actually had my interview and the application submitted

@veeblpn Thank you so much for your response, Did you apply to ABSN program, if so do you know what course pre-reqs are required.

@PeepBri Lewis hey I'm currently about to start the nursing portion of the ABSN program and I did not need to complete all my pre-reqs before applying.  You can have some pre-reqs missing but you have to finish it before you can start the core nursing classes.  Monroe has there own set of pre-reqs as well that has to be completed prior to starting the main Nursing classes which are (Advanced Writing for the Social Sciences, Introduction to Health Care Policy  Introduction to Health Informatics  Race, Ethnicity, and Health  Global Health Issues).  You can get accepted based off your Bachelors degree and high school transcript.

Thank you so much for this ! It is very much appreciated! ??

Does anyone know where I can get an N95 fit test class ? Is it mandatory for the first semester at Monroe ? I tried reaching out to someone on the phone but can’t get through .

Is the progressive program easier to get into compared to the acceleration program. I have a bachelors degree and CE In a course due to Covid. And I feel like people forgot about Covid. Which is making admissions more difficult for me
