Hey!

I am going to study nursing in college; yay me!

I am final on this decision after all of the going back & forth.

I will be graduating college in the year 2013.

By that time, do you believe there will still be a shortage in nursing?

& what do you believe the annual salary will be?

Specializes in Trauma ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU.

There will always be room for nurses, you will always be able to take a job. Might not be what you want exactly, but you will always be needed.

Not much better than now. Like many threads before this one, nursing isnt anything to get rich off of. It may go up slightly with inflation but nothing spectacular.

However I dont have my crystal ball in front of me to tell ya for sure:rolleyes:

Good to hear you have decided on nursing school. Glad you dumped the boyfriend who didn't think you should go.

I take it you have decided on a BSN program? Yes. Nurses will always be needed. As far as salaries go, PiPhi2004 stated it is not a career to get rich from, but you will never lack for work.

It is one of the few jobs that still pays a middle class wage...

Although Bar code med administration reminds me of walmart....:>>

Specializes in ER, IICU, PCU, PACU, EMS.
