Dianah sounds like a good few days

NJ22 hope the vet won't be required

Stars I never considered hawks being a threat to backyard chickens

Ado did not know you were writing a story

Yesterday did a little meal prep in the morning, but mostly took it easy.  Went to church early to usher.

Then drove downtown to meet my friend B at a barbeque place and then walk the elevated 606 trail.  Was nice, they did a lot of plantings along the trail.  Walked about a mile and a half and then turned back.  After we were done we stopped at a coffeehouse and then drove home.

Today should be a pretty ordinary day, don't think I have anything unusual going on at work.  And nothing unusual thereafter, just laundry.  Am thinking about coming up with a list of days off for next year to present once the new year starts.  May make planning easier if I get all my days off in at once

Going to be a bit warmer than usual again, in the mid 80s

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have an ordinary day.  Those days can be good.

I called in sick Saturday.  I was up at 3AM, not sleeping and intestinal issues and feeling wiped out.  Went to work Sunday and felt better and feel okay today.  One of the motivations wasn't that I was so sick but that I'm maxed out on PTO and need to start using it.

Sunday wasn't bad at work, just busy.  Night shift was short staffed nursing were going to have to 6:1 on one side without a tech and there was no charge nurse.

Normal day off today.  Bowling tonight.

Gouda Aphternooon!

Rain, rain, rain. Okay by me, because 'they' say we need it. I'm not going anywhere ... oh, except to get that lady from the Senior daycare center around 4:45 PM.

My laptop is acting a little weirdly, and I'm not sure why. I have always subscribed to Ad Remover, and it has been renewed, but NOW I get all the ads. I will be sending them my third email about it shortly. Also, I have been deleting a lot of messages it is un-necessary to save or ignore, "They" say that too much ____ in your wheelbarrow can cause your computer to slow down, as well.

I really do need, and so am going to actually attempt, to straighten up my room. Just remember I DID NOT TELL YOU THIS! 😁 I'd hate to let everybody down, myself especially!

And so..... "in a minute....." 🙄  🥁 DRUM roll, please .... I'll be out of bed to get dressed and then ....

To be continued?

I have spent 40 minutes trying to reactivate my Ad Remover, and have gone around in 6 or 7 circles with it, so have not gotten up to get dressed. I am giving up for now, I have just been wasting time! Now 'they' say I have reactivated it, so we'll see. GADS!

Hello all!

No Stars, I hope your Ad Remover got re-activated.  I HATE the ads on FB, they are very intrusive (IMHO).  But I guess that's the price one pays for using the "service."  I personally exit out of whatever I am watching if an ad comes on.  Nope, not gonna watch.  And I try to pinch myself to NOT watch the Reels, as the rate of enjoyment return VS irritation-building is not worth watching most of them.  Alas, I am not as self-disciplined as I would like to be, and I do succumb...  I won't ask what you got done today, LOL!

We had a good hymn sing yesterday, enjoyed playing and singing with folks.  It was a beautiful day up in the apple country, though driving up on the road we saw LOTS of dirt and debris pushed to the sides, a testament to the mudslides that occurred almost a week ago with the tropical storm.  We also saw a deer feeding in one of the apple orchards - always a good sign!  🙂

We were tired when we got home, and after supper we slept pretty well last night.  Today I went to the store before lunch, for I was out of several salad fixin' things.  I got the ingredients, as well, to make a cabbage-potato-kielbasa soup.  I used turkey kielbasa (I don't eat pork), and used turnips instead of potatoes (for lower carb content).   It has carrots, celery, leeks, garlic, and Italian seasoning.   It smells wonderful, bubbling on the stove right now!  I have the dh stamp of approval, too, for he wandered by and tasted a little of it.

Tomorrow we have a band practice in preparation for the Oct 10 program at the Baptist church.  I think we'll be ready, and hope they like the program.

Tweety, I hope bowling is fun tonight!  I'm glad you are feeling better than you did on Saturday.

Joe, that sounds like a nice walk.  I used to have to submit my time-off requests early in the year, so I and my office partner would arrange time off between us (especially around the holidays).  It was helpful, to know your schedule of days off, for the whole upcoming year!

Hello to Ado and nursej22!

nursej22, how are the dogs?  Has the diarrhea diminished?  Are you able to give pepto bismol to dogs?  I know, I know -- I could Google it!  But it's easier to ask you!  I hope the dogs are better, that is worrisome.

Ado, are you surviving the meetings?  I always enjoyed attending conferences, however as most nurses used to being active, I'd get awful tired sitting down, and would begin to nod off (even if the subject was of interest!  Not everyone is blessed with the exceptional ability to do public speaking and make it INTERESTING and ENGAGING!).  I took to sitting towards the back or the sides, so I could slip out of my seat and pace in the back, just to keep moving.  How long is the conference scheduled to last?

Have a good evening!

Not sure what I did there.

So, what a day. Twin A was in an accident while driving to work. He's fine. The car is banged up, has 2 new tires, is driveable.

Tonight daughter-in-law was in a motorcycle accident. She is in ICU with a brain bleed, skull fractures, rib fractures, and liver laceration. It was her birthday. She had recently lost her job when the restaurant/bar she managed closed. But she had 2 good job prospects and they were feeling like they could breathe again. Now this.

So here I am in N Carolina feeling helpless.

So sorry about your dil!  Will keep her in prayers.  Relieved Twin A is fine and the car runs.  Breathe, rest, eat something, and just hang in there.
