Hi Stars

NJ22 wish the weather was that cool here

Ado hope things have settled down there

Yesterday was good although busier than a usual Sunday for me.  Did the cooking before church.  After church decided to do laundry as well.  Then in the afternoon went to a reception at church to celebrate the new bells.  Might have skipped that but Dad wanted to go so I went as well.  Rest of the day was pretty restful, just exercised and did some things to get ready for the week

Today hopefully will be an OK day at work, although we have 1 coworker out.  This will be a shorter week for me as I have Friday off

Cat has been vomiting more again, might switch from giving her Vaseline to using the hairball medication, and see if that works better.  Apart from that she seems fine so not setting up any vet appointments

Again it will be in the upper 80s no rain, has been like this more than a week.  Would be nice if we got some cooler fall weather

Good morning!

Off today.  I canceled another vet appointment after giving some thought about dropping the dogs off.  Since they are both blind I don't think it's a good idea, especially Slowbro who is also deaf.  I think Waffles would be fine but Slowbro might panic.  They only had drop off available but I'll have to make it for a later date when I can stay with them.

Not much going on today.  Have a great day.

Nannie conked out, so I went to the store to get stuff that we always run out of the quickest. I also went to the bank and deposited my check from BiL and SiL.

It is in the upper 60's and low 70's, and raining. Of COURSE my umbrella decided it was broken and I couldn't get it to open, so I 'hoodied' it, but the hoody got soaked. Oh well, I won't melt. But I will have to get another umbriola (a family 'on-purpose' mispronunciation .... that spell-check wants to correct) that has the auto-open and auto-close button.

Tweety, I knew you have said Slowbro is blind, but I didn't know Waffles is as well.

It's already 5 PM. I'm not going to wake Nannie up yet; maybe she will come around when I turn on the TV for local news at 6 PM. Meanwhile I will look at the newspaper I bought because it was the last one on the rack and I felt sorry for it. Yuh, uh-huh!

I have an appt for my car on Wednesday at 1:30 and I will probably have to tow Nannie along with me, oh joy beyond joy!

Anyway, that's it for now! Hope y'all have a GOOD week!

First day of staycation down. Didn't accomplish much but Hubs did get the Neon running again after something was shorting out the fuel pump.

There was EHR downtime at the hospital but not really anything I could do to help. I did participate in a Zoom meeting about our volunteering at the upcoming music festival.

I'm sitting outside again where the flies are very interested in my prosecco with limoncello. Will probably not stay long because I ended  up with a few mosquito bites last night on top of my other woes.

Gma was downright awful to the sitter today but I suppose she is used to it. Hubs had wanted to try sailing but there was not much wind AND he wanted to get the car running so Twin A can drive it to work. Twin A received a letter about federal jury duty. He had to go online and fill out a questionnaire. So it is not yet a summons... but could end in one. I knew someone at my old job who served on a federal jury. It was quite inconvenient but what are you gonna do?

Hi. Spent the day taking sis to a doctor appointment in Seattle. She doesn't have to go back for a year, but the the doctor is ending her clinic at this location, so we (I see this doc too) have to pick a new pacemaker Dr. Oh well. We stopped briefly at a plant nursery because they had a gardening tool I wanted. Then to lunch at the cafe we both like: I had a blue cheese salad and some African chicken soup with cashews. Tasty, but a little spicy. Sis had her usual french dip and Caesar salad. Then we moseyed home. I am going back to her house tomorrow to lift some plants to donate to the master gardeners plant sale.

Youngest ds did federal jury duty before the pandemic. He got a stipend to allow him to get a hotel room in the area, but he couldn't find a decent one, so he just drove back and forth each day, 180 miles round trip. Although tired, he found the experience rewarding, and felt like he learned a lot from the judge. I think the trial lasted about 3 weeks.

I took my previous dog to the vet during the pandemic and had to drop him off. He was so traumatized, that I had to medicate him before every visit after that. I understand your concern, Tweety.

I don't own an umbrella, and you seldom see them around here. In fact, most locals think only tourists use them in the Pacific Northwest. Our rain is quite gentle, usually drizzle, but with wind gusts that ruin a brelly in the flash of an eye. Despite that, the big music festival held every year in Seattle is called Bumbershoot. this is definitely hoodie country.
