Stars that was nice of her to do that

Tweety sorry you had to cancel the trip, but it seems like it was the best decision for you and your friend

Dianah I usually just use my exercise bike, unless I go out for a hike

NJ22 kind of sounds like my day yesterday

Ado didn't know you played ukulele

Yesterday was quieter than expected.  Did the meal prep in the morning before church. Was expecting to help my friend K with unpacking in the afternoon, but he was busy cleaning the old place and said he'd text if he got that all completed and had time to unpack.  He never texted, so it ended up being a quiet day.  Exercised and watched the Christopher Reeve Superman.  Find I like that type of superhero movie more that the current ones

Today should be pretty ordinary, nothing unusual at work, nothing after work except exercise and laundry.  Hopefully things at work slow down

Going to get up to about 80.  Rain will hold off today although it will be rainy the next few days

Good morning!

Joe, hope that you have an ordinary day.  Ordinary days are a good thing.

Stars, does the Imodium make you feel funny.  I feel like it makes me sluggish and don't like taking it.  But just took one.  Maybe I'll try some Pepto Bismol I have in my cabinet I bought for travel.

No weight loss since yesterday and the day before.  I like this weight but don't want to lose anymore.

Speaking of travel, I've been setting aside cash since around May to take on my trip so I don't take a hit all at once.  $20 here and there, $40 a month that best friend would give me in cash for the extra cable TV he ordered under my name.  A bunch of $1 bills for tips.  I guess I can spend it now.  Was a bit shocked to count it a see $300 in there.  Bittersweet but cool.

I used to have an air popcorn machine back in the 80's to make healthier popcorn.  I rarely eat it now but buy it in the bag when I do.  My favorite is white cheddar.

Stopped by to see best friend's condo and it's coming along.  He's had some furniture that he bought on consignment delivered.  His appliances are there, floor is done, painting is done.  Probably will be 100% ready to move into within a couple of weeks.  His contractor is on another job this week but will finish up next week as his permits expire at the end of the month.  Things are coming along.

Ordinary day here today too.  Going to move the grass.  I'm passing on the news today as it's all about the Charlie Kirk service.  I allow them their time and grief but it's a bit over the top for me.

Bowling tonight.  Hopefully get out of last place.  The team we are playing are in 2nd place but not that good.  They apparently are going to be absent but pre-bowled last Wednesday.

Early morning~  I got up in time to get Nannie ready to go with BiL to daycare. Bye-bye Nannie! Have to go pick her up around 4:45 PM. SiL told me she had to go in to do inventory at one of the ABC stores (she is one of the 'reliable' employees so they call her frequently and she's "just a girl who can't say no".) But IMHO, 5 AM is a ridiculous time to arrive for doing an inventory.

Have the usual tasks and chores. When I skip a day, it really piles up and is kinda discouraging to see, but whaddya gonna do? Just do it, like Nike. But, oh I get sooooo tired of dealing with all the housework; it is ridiculous! This will be a day of taking care of biznezz, which we all know I love.

Called and left a message for the lady at the hearing aid place to call me; I REALLY need the excruciating sound turned DOWN! I wish I had stayed on the line to see if I could talk with her directly; her office person no longer works there, so she is the one person running everything, Ah, me. We all have something tough to deal with.

Tweety, all that Imodium makes me feel is HAPPY that it stops the unappreciated sudden eruptions. 😁 But I do have to be sparing enough that it doesn't stop up everything! I suppose one of these days I will have to go through the upper and lower GI tests, that wonderful experience of fasting and guzzling something like GO-LIGHTLY. Y'know, if they would just let me 'sleep off' the anesthesia, it would be nicer and very appreciated, but they won't let ya do so. And it would require a person to drive me there and home, and they have to sit and wait it out until I am discharged. It's hard to pin down SiL to do the toting of me, because of her schedule. I also need to make an appt for cataract removal from my right eye. That will be a genuine PIA because of not being allowed to bend over or lift anything. That would certainly put a crimp and a 'hold' on being a housewife for a couple of days. My question is....what about the NIGHTS? Because Nannie is still getting up to sit in the cold, dark den for no reason we can discern. I suppose it will all work out. SiL says not to worry about it because they are 'family' and will help me get through with any of it.

I had to put the cost of my hearing aids on 3 different credit cards. Too bad I have to pay it all off; it was $1,510.00,or something like that. UGH.

I also have the costs of changing my will and power of attorney, getting the dog spayed, and my cataract surgery (which I hope Medicare will cover.) and new glasses. And, eventually the dentist. I hate having a LIST of things that I HAVE TO HAVE DONE, because it makes me fret about money. (But what doesn't?!) I don't spend a lot on lottery tickets or scratch-offs, but my dream, of course, is raking in a walloping amount of $ to cover all the "adulting responsibilities," Which also includes the passenger side of my car which is scratched and dented all the way from the door to the quarter panel in the back, and maybe the front, too. I still like my idea of painting the scratches because they can be made to look like a body of water with mountains behind them and a few clouds above. It would definitely would make it look better. I have not gone to get an estimate for any of that work, I am afraid of the sticker shock I will go through when I hear what they want to repair and/or replace all that!

The hearing place has not returned my call yet, and I have to get on the phone with the telephone-teller at the bank (SS check should be there today).  Oh well, maybe it will "all come out in the wash" as Grampa used to say, and goodness knows there are several loads of wash to be done!

Blah-dee-blah, blah, and yippee-ki-yay.

Stars, sounds like you might have IBS.  I'm not sure Imodium helps but I haven't gone since I took it.  TMI.  LOL

Did you know it cost $101 to send a 4 lb. package to South Australia?  I first went to UPS since it's a couple of blocks from me and they wanted $299.  Sheesh.   Oh well, I used the cash I stashed away for my trip I canceled.

Doing inventory at and ABC store? Eek, that sounds like a nightmare.

Nice day here. I went to the demo garden to work with one of the interns so she can accumulate her volunteer hours to get certified. She didn't show, but I pulled some weeds and relabeled a couple of stepping stones. Those buggers are heavy!

I am leaving soon to get the oil changed in my car. Woot. I'm going to gather stuff to toss or donate. Something about the change in seasons makes me want to get rid of stuff.

We enjoyed Downton Abbey, and the movie theatre popcorn. I love sitting in a theatre, but there isn't much out there that I want to pay the admission to see. And you can't pause for a bathroom break, LOL. The movie sets and costumes were beautiful, though. The castle that was used for the setting is a place I would like to visit, if we ever get to the UK.

Yes, Stars, I think you sound like you have IBS, which I think has been determined to be tied to emotions. There are some new drugs out there, but yeah, you'd have to do all the testing (and the prep) to get treated.

eldest ds is going to take my road bike that I don't ride anymore and find it a new home. That makes me a little sad, but she will appreciate being able to get out for a spin.

Time to go...

Yes, Tweety, I'm sorry you had to cancel your trip but it seems it was the right thing at this time.

I'll join in the praise of ordinary days! My brother and I were just saying how "boring" is good.

Joe, to say I "play" the ukulele would be going too far. Back when Twin B and I participated in NHB in, like, 2019, they started a group that started learning the chords and such, and we joined that group. The band stopped meeting for a semester or two due to Covid and Twin B and I never went back until now.

I've got paperwork that needs to be done for the church. Not going to let it take more time and effort than necessary.

Stepson got moved into his new apartment Saturday. His hearing RE: disability was Wednesday and apparently they did not let his cousin, who is is guardian, testify. So we will see. He was denied, then denied on appeal, so this is the last ditch effort. To try again would be starting over from the beginning.
