NJ22 it's getting cold here too

Ado that would be good if it could be dealt with without surgery

Stars I can definitely see how you would need a break from her

Tweety glad you got up in time

Dianah that is awfully windy

Yesterday spent a fair amount of time at church. In the morning did a little cooking and then went to church to set up for coffee hour.  Dad came, a rare occurrence, so we sat together.  Then I hung around for coffee hour longer than expected as there was a meeting after church. But thankfully the clean up went quickly

I've noticed that I'm seeing an increase in people asking me about rejoining choir, despite having said I'm too busy to do so more than once, and that it's starting to get aggravating. It seems I'll  have to be more direct and honest and tell people that I'm no longer interested in doing that any more.  It's an issue with small churches, so desperate to find people for various roles that they make pests of themselves, so it's time to set limits

Rest of the day was uneventful. Came home and finished cooking.  Tried out a new forest preserve not too far away but didn't care for it.  The weather wasn't good either, so exercised at home

Nothing unusual today.  Going to be fairly cool, in the low 40s, but at least no rain today

Good morning!

Joe, that would be aggravating.  I'm sure sooner or later they'll quit asking.

Dianah, I hate wind chill cold.

Have a great day!

BERSERK TIMES! ?

I spent 3 hours between phone, on-line, and paper crap, and got nothing much accomplished. #1) because the SPOUSE can not request a birth certificate for her deceased husband. #2)The local SSA office says wait time on hold may be 15 minutes....but after 15 minutes they disconnected every single call I've made to them.  #3) the general information 800 line for SSA left me on hold for OVER 50 minutes, during which I got Nannie up and dressed. I gave up hope of them ever answering, so I hung up. Can't go to SSA office without the birth certificate (also MINE!) And I can't locate hubby's driver's license, either, which sucks because you have to have some kind of official photo ID. // Still in search of my birth cert and our marriage cert., and hope I can locate them, at least!

But the sheriff's office did come and hand Nannie the paper that BiL needs for guardianship.

BiL is going to take the car tag to the DMV in the AM and get a receipt for it, then we won't have to pay for a sticker; and somehow he is going to deal with the lack of car title. (I know he can request/buy one, but at least I don't have to let it concern me.)

We have a court appt. Nov 21st to complete the guardianship application, and who knows how long after that it will take for it to be granted and be legal-schmeagle.

I DID find out that hubby's life insurance policy was cashed-in at the same time his brothers was, in 2017! Have no clue where the $10,000 ($5,000 each) went, but  THANKS HUBBY ☹️ ? , because I could use that money NOW! Guess it will remain a mystery, as he didn't think he was ever going to die, I suppose. Surely it didn't ALL go to buying booze, but it's hard to imagine what he DID do with ALL of it. (many cuss-words go here.) I knew he'd cashed in his brothers', but he never said he cashed in HIS!

So I am extremely fed up and I am giving up today on anything else regarding hubby's death settlement or bureaucratic requirements. His brother + SiL can slam their heads into walls, because *I* ain't a'doin' it NO MO'H!

I really, REALLY, REALLY don't have ANY stars in my eyes today.

PS: Nannie had on a wet pull-up and three wet pads, PLUS three separate pairs of long-legged pants she had put on at some point, and gosh (such a mild expletive), even her sheets and blankets got wet. Whaddya know! I said, "WHY pairs of pants?" and all she could say was "sorry." Yup she sure is sorry. Can't help it because of the dementia, but it doesn't help ME!

?wha-wha-wha!?

And to top it all off with a cherry on top....our Ms. Nannie has copped an attitude with me! She woke up because she wanted to go to bed. I said No, it's too early. Then she 'heard' somebody talking. Wasn't me, and it wasn't Momo. Then I asked her if she's hungry enough to eat supper now? She said in a very UGLY tone, like I was an idiot: "YESSSS , I'M HUNGRY!" If she knew the word "DUH" she would've added that.

She ate her pudding with a fork, and her baked stuffed potato with her spoon. Far be it from me to tell her anything about how to use her utensils, especially with her MOOD going. Nannie may be in one of her arguing moods, and now that hubby is not here to get her all riled up, she's needing to grouse.  Uh-uh, not with me, hunny-bunny!

84 sunny degrees today, but rainy at 52 degrees tomorrow. Huh.

Hi. Nice day here, not much going on.

Specializes in Med/Surg.

Sister went home from hospital today and will follow up with the specialist as an outpatient.

Cold-ish today at about 48. I saw the cardiologist for my results. Passed the echo and stress test. Holter monitor just showed a few brief episodes of PAT so she recommended starting metoprolol. Guess I'm OK with that.

Gma tells herself stories almost continually while awake. Mutter, mutter, mutter.

I really must go pack for the Las Vegas trip.
