NJ22 hope your injury heals quick

Hi Ado and Dianah

Yesterday was busy, laundry then church, then cooking, then went and joined the knitting group at church.  Cat sitter came over to get the keys.  Went for a walk in the evening

Hoping for a quieter work week before I leave Friday.  We'll see if that happens

Going to be warmer, in the upper 60s today

Good morning!

Joe, have a good week!

Just called into work about something a patient said that bothered me that maybe might need some looking into if he says it again.  It's out of my hands now but was nagging at me.

There charge nurse asked if I could come in at 11:00.  Sorry no.

Off for three days.  Nothing much going on.

Have a great day!

Well, my knee feels much better already, its a little puffy, but not even much of a bruise.  My hand is still a little stingy, but I'm keeping it covered with a bandaid. I take a lickin' and keep on tickin'! Any one remember the old Timex commercials?

Its a crisp, clear day here. I just got back from getting my pre-procedure COVID test. It wasn't nearly as painful as last time. Very nice, OCD coworker is convinced that something terrible is going to happen to our new active TB patient because he got a one time dose of an antibiotic the day before he was diagnosed with TB. Last week, she was sure he was developing a drug-resistant infection, and today she is convinced he has c. diff because he has diarrhea. I proposed, and our doc agreed, that it may be related to him decreasing his use of fentanyl. And doc wasn't immediately available by phone on Sunday, so that is a another crisis, in her opinion. 4 more months...

Joe, I hope you week is smooth and uneventful.

Good for you Tweety, for declining extra work. 3 days off, w00t!

Thanks for the well wishes about my boo-boo.

Hi Joe, Tweety.

J22, glad the knee is feeling better. 4 more months!

Looks like we have great fall weather coming up for the foreseeable future. I cleaned and dusted a little yesterday and set out the fall "day-core".

Did my first e-meals selection and shopping. Definitely not as easy as picking out Hello Fresh meals and having them dropped off at the door. For example, I picked out some recipes which generated a shopping list that I used for the WalMart app. Then, when that was all done I got a message that the local WalMart was out of one of the key ingredients and there were no truly good substitutions! So, I could take all that stuff out of my cart, go find another recipe, or maybe hope that said ingredient will show up at the store in a few days...But we did make one of the meals yesterday and everyone liked it and it was easy.

Hi! I kept meaning to post yesterday but never did get around to it.

I had to put more air in the left front tire. After I did that, the warning light on the dash went out. I already have an appt for it to be seen on this Thursday. But the second I mentioned putting air in the tire, hubby started fussing that I didn't need to do anything to the tire since I was going to the dealer Thursday. It made me p-o'd to be cut off before I got to finish what I was telling him. He sounded like he was coming off with the attitude, like 'silly girl doesn't know anything'. I seldom raise my voice, but this time I did, saying very sharply and LOUD: "The TIRE was FLAT!" He just shut his mouth and looked at me and walked away. Now he can't tell people I never argue! Well, I wasn't actually arguing, I was telling it like it was! It'll probably need more air tomorrow, but hubby said "Don't worry about it." I am NOT worried, I am responsibly paying attention to my vehicles needs!

Speaking of putting air in tires...the little air machines outside convenience stores now do not take quarters; you have to use a debit or credit card to activate the flow of air. Weird!

We are watching the ballgame and hubby is blabbing and yakking at the TV and the players and c/o the coach not changing out the pitcher . Since it doesn't appear that he will stop any time soon, and Nannie is making indications she'll be going to bed soon, and I am the designated 'wetness' checker, I'll have to get up soon to help her out. (It also helps me because I don't really enjoy listening to her grunt and pant and gasp while she is changing herself.) At least she didn't sit on the side of her bed and get every. single. sheet. and. blanket. wet. like she did twice this week-----I had to wash all her bedding TWICE this week. Can't figure out a way of getting her to NOT make her bed if the chux pad is wet, and to NOT sit on the bed after that making sure the pee goes all the way through. When she changes herself it is easier if she does it sitting on her bed (I change her while she sits on the toilet) but if she sits her soaking butt on the made bed, it leaves a wet circle....which she has tried several times to cover up with other blankets, etc. Then she would sleep on top of the bedding. NUTZ! ?

Okay. then -------------Later!
