Stars glad today will be less busy for you
NJ22 my cousin has used that option for Thanksgiving before
Tweety glad work was OK
Ado I hope he experiences improvement with the new medication
Relatively quiet day yesterday for me. Did some meal prep before church, after church stopped at the grocery store and then met Dad for lunch, he's still doing OK although the 3 times per day infusions do limit his schedule significantly. After that did the cooking for the week and exercised.
Today nothing exciting going on, just work and laundry and exercise
Have been reviewing some of the things I do to see if I can find ways to save time, given that life is getting busier. Found some web sites I can skip, decided the local online newspaper was no longer worth it, and will cut back on the baking
Going to be a bit cooler today, think it will be in the mid 50s

Good morning!
Joe, I've always admired your ability to be self aware and to take action.
Ado, I've never heard of eosinaphilic esophagitis either. Apparently, its diagnosis was only first made in the 90's. Who knew? Hope things go better for your son.
I've had turkey breast only for Thanksgiving. A couple of times I've made a turkey. A couple of times, I've let Publix make the Turkey. I even had two vegan Thanksgivings which was a lot of work but turned out great. Thanksgiving has been scaled down since my parent's stopping coming down. I've been to my nieces a time or two (she caters hers). About 80% of the last 30 years of Thanksgivings have been eating out. Mostly at a buffet at one of the resorts. Lots of good food and variety if you don't want the traditional stuff. Sadly hurricane Helene flooded the barrier islands and the resorts won't be open or recovered. Since I'm working the day before and the day after Thanksgiving, I don't have time to fuss and made reservations at a local restaurant. Will eat a traditional plate and that will be that.
I have my job interview today. I'm a bit nervous because I don't do interviews. Having interviewed once in 33 years. Since there's more than two people going for two spots, they may have their reasons to not chose me. I'm torn because if I don't get it, I'm not sure I want to work the floor every shift with 6:1 ratios, but also don't like the idea of always being in charge. I like the variety I have now. I'm trying to muster up some enthusiasm.
I'm thinking my retirement date will be January 2028 but will await a meeting with my financial advisor to continue to plan. So I guess I'll stick with it no matter what the results are.
Anyway, I got up with the dogs at 6AM and promptly we all went back to sleep for three hours. Having coffee and feeling rested, sort of.

I woke up to hear thumping and bumping downstairs, but was not alarmed. I know Nannie doesn't make those kind of noises moving around.....so I knew it was SiL giving Nannie a shower and shampoo! Nice surprise! So I got up and prepared Nannie's breakfast tray with meds, brought it down to the den. When SiL and Nannie came out into the den, I said "What a NICE surprise!" And an even better surprise...SiL said she was taking Nannie to her house for the day and will be bringing me some supper when they bring her back home, both Turkey Tetrazzini and homemade chicken noodle and vegetable soup. So I have two suppers to choose from. Yahoo! Now I can run out to get a few items, and also put a card payment in the after-hours slot at the bank, as it is due today (even tho it is a holiday, I want it in there when they open up on Tuesday.)
I am washing all my bedding, something I've wanted to do for several days, and will flip the mattress. And MAYBE I can start the search in my old bedroom to see if I can locate the house keys and the book of checks. I'm not entirely sure, but I may have used the checks out of sequence, but like I said, if the checks are anywhere, they have got to be in the house, because they don't have legs.
My gosh, I am still kind of in shock to have the afternoon off from Nannie-duty. I'll wait for the laundry cycle to be through, then hop in the car for my brief runaround and when I come back I can toss it all in the dryer! THEN I get to wrestle with putting the fitted sheet on that THICK mattress. Well, at least it is a comfortable mattress even if it is (IMHO) entirely too FAT.
Ado, glad Twin A has a diagnosis and medicine, that's bound to make him feel better!
Tweety, I don't know whether to hope you get the 'new' position, or not hope for that. Wherever it lands, I hope it works out well for you.
Today the temp is supposed to get up to 74 degrees, or maybe 77, I can't remember. But the humidity is also ridiculously high at 94%. One place says cloudy, with no rain, and the other place says 51% chance of rain.
Anyway, I feel better today than I did for the past two days. Friday and Saturday were a real endurance test!
I know I shouldn't let it bother me, because it is trivial, AND it keeps Nannie occupied, but she LITERALLY spend HOURS adjusting and readjusting her sleeves and if she has a jacket on, she buttons and unbuttons it, lifts up the hem of the jacket and the hem of her jersey and pulls them down to pat into place.....until she has to do it again after 30-45 seconds. She declines to 'work with' the cloth that has buttons, Velcro, shoelaces, etc on it. Making sure her own clothes look PERFECT while she is sitting in her recliner takes a LOT of time and effort!
So, now the laundry cycle is through, I guess I'll get my purse and head out.
Later, y'all!

Gray, cloudy, showery day, around 50. I took the dogs for a walk to try to get some of the orneryness out of them. I see where they scratch at the door to go out has torn some of the weatherstripping. I'll clip nails to see if that helps. I went to the gym and signed up for a fitness evaluation. Mostly I want some advice on using the machines and getting them adjusted to fit my short frame.
I plan to clean out the closet where we store the linens I need to toss a bunch of raggedy towels and face cloths. I was keeping them for rags but I see dh bought a "box of rags." Huh. And I need to refold the blankets. dh has a habit of just cramming anything into a space. So all closets, the fridge and the freezer get jumbled and I get crabby when I have to unload everything to find something.
dh has found 3 new cookie recipes, so I guess a trip to the grocery store is on the agenda. Elvis cookies, sweet potato shortbread and something with cranberries.
Ado, thats interesting about your son. They are doing amazing things around immune system treatment. I think there is a drug on TV for EE, but I bet it's wicked expensive.
Good luck, maybe, Tweety, on your interview. I hear ya about the 6:1 ratio, shift after shift.
I went off without my brain-notebook-shopping list, but I did manage to remember what I wanted to get. Except for some new, soft, salmon dog treats, which, now that I know Momo LOVES them....I can't find the brand! (They are "BE GOOD" treats, from Something-or-other Farms). I'll bet I got them at either the HFS or the pet store beside it. Next time I go out that way, I'll check both stores. But I did run across (for ME, not for Momo) a small container of freeze-dried Brussell (sp?) sprouts, they are salted and crunchy....not bad at all!
It's already 4:30, and thank goodness I came back to this site so I remember (now!) to switch out the 2 loads of laundry.
Anyway, I guess I have about an hour, or if I'm 'lucky' 🙃 an hour-and-a-half, until Nannie gets brought home. So I won't be doing any searches today, I guess! Just will make my bed up and put away the clothes I washed yesterday.
Hope Chatty CG comes on Thursday, 'cause that is my next "day off".

Like Stars, I'm not sure what to hope for with your job interview, Tweety. I know I'm not eager to jump into 6:1 ratios on the regular. But I understand your concerns about always being in charge, too.
By golly, I got my bed made up with a freshly washed and dried bedding (I only use a fitted sheet, and sleep under a down comforter), I hung up and put away another load of clothes I did this morning, and got a smaller load of Nannie's clothes washed and dried. The dishes are all done.
Nannie goes to bed in 17 minutes! 😁.
