Dianah my dad is doing something similar, going through lots of old pictures and seeing who wants them

Ado that's too bad that she has to switch facilities

Stars glad you'll be able to redistribute all that stuff

NJ22 that would be too cold for me for a bike ride

Tweety glad you're off for 3 days after that terrible shift

Did the cooking and dishes before church, then went to church to do the readings.  Was surprised that only a somewhat smaller crowd than usual,  given the snow and the recent holiday

The rest of the day was fairly quiet.  Went on a long drive to appreciate the snowfall.  Watched The Crown.  Tried to watch The Chosen but knew within 20 minutes it wasn't for me.  Exercised and took the rest of the day easy

Should be not too bad a work week, the company was closed from Thanksgiving to Sunday, and no one will be off this week

Going to be a cold day today in the upper 20s, snow has stopped

Good morning!

Hope you have a good work week Joe.

Stars, I live dangerously and eat food long past their expiration date, but two years is a bit long even for me to try.  LOL

I lost interest in the Crown and never finished last season.  It's well done though.

J22, I'm glad I live in Florida.  That kind of cold to me is painful.  Give me heat and humidity any time.

Slept in late for me and best get busy with a couple of things before bowling tonight.  A "cold front" is moving through tomorrow and will drop temps to the upper 40's here and colder up north.  Cold enough but not painful.  LOL

Intended to get up at 9 AM, but I closed my eyes "for another minute", and it was suddenly 11:30 AM! Quick shower and shampoo, and now I have to get Nannie up. SiL is coming at 1 PM and I gotta get ready to SCRAM! w00t!

Hello all!

Tweety, W00t for three days off, especially after that middle shift!  Do your self-care!  Bowling tonight!!

Joe, too bad you didn't care for The Chosen.  I usually tell folks that the first episode is strange (I had NO idea what was going on, who was who, at first) --- but to persevere, and then you get to know who's who and what's what.  Nice you can go out and appreciate the snow!

No Stars, hope you can get what you want, DONE, while Nannie gets her perm!

nursej22, I hate getting cold hands, or cold ears, for that matter!  Getting cold ears gives me a headache, most unpleasant.

Yesterday we drove to the high desert for band practice, then went out for sushi.  Got home around 8:30.  I had already changed the sheets, so it was nice to slip into a clean bed.

This morning I was up early, to take the car in for its service at 7:45.  The adaptive cruise control hasn't been working for about three weeks, and dh uses that all the time so it is missed.  We looked it up online, and the sensor is under the left front grill/bumper.  When dh went out to check that area, there is a large scar across it.  We're thinking we hit a road gator, and that the sensor got damaged.  Hence the appointment to get the service AND get that sensor evaluated.

I spent a busy morning at the dealer's waiting room, had remodeled three homes and was busy working on a fourth remodel, when the agent told me the car was ready.  HGTV will have to work without me, I guess!  Dh had contacted our insurance agent, who recommended we submit a claim for the work, which will be $5K, by the time all is said/done/fixed.  So he did that while I was in the waiting room.

Had lunch and then took a nap, as I hadn't slept well last night.  We will have the rest of our Tuscan white bean soup for supper tonight.

That's about it from here!  Temp is 67 and clear today.

Have a good evening!

Decent day at work. Complaining patient called with another problem... to be dealt with tomorrow.

We're having burritos/enchiladas tonight. Twin A won't be home until late.

Talked to sister today and she sounds better though still in the hospital and not feeling great. The surgeon stopped by today to reaffirm that the surgery was all good.

Hmmm, I did get a good bit done, EXCEPT the thrift shop is closed on Mondays, and the banks computers were down, and still down when I went back several hours later. I did get a bunch of ethnic foods at the store....can't remember all the names of the stuff....some from India, and several from other Asian places. I'll have to let you know tomorrow what all I got. Don't know why I've had cravings for things I've never tried before, but I'm game to try something that isn't beef or chicken; maybe when I go by the bank tomorrow, I'll scoot over to Harris-Teeter and see if they have any decent fish. My mom used to sort of fry/saute haddock with a bit of flour and white corn meal and it was YUMMY!

Momo was quite put out with me, as I left home, and while Nannie and SiL were here, Momo wasn't interested in getting a perm. She yapped and yapped sharply at me for leaving her behind, but eventually calmed down. I will have to decide which vet to take her to. The one I took Pip and Ozzie to....he's okay, but I dunno. It's the closest to home, but I was wondering about the one downtown. But first I have to locate what I did with the Vet papers from where she was first taken in Florida! So much stuff floating around here, I'll be glad when I can clean and reorganize.

SiL said that in the new year she will arrange to have a certain day every week to give me a break, like a regular schedule! That'd be weird, actually counting on having a day off, but I sure ain't a'sayin' no to that!

Obie-Kaybe, I am going to sign off here and look through a trash magazine. I also got three books, and will probably light into one of them tomorrow. One was a story of how Butch Casidy actually survived the shoot-out in where-ever it was they went at the end of the first film. (The Sundance Kid didn't make it.) And I got another Lisa Jackson book; there are so many authors named Lisa, and there is one Lisa whose books I don't care for because the heroines are ditzy, stubborn, and self-doubting. They're second-guessing themselves, nervous, and argues inside their brain with themselves a lot, which can get quite annoying and tedious; if the heroine was a real person I'd be tempted to slap her between the eyes with a cold, wet, dead squirrel.

What a nice, mild-mannered person I am...... ? .....well, most of the time. ?
