Tweety quiet days can be nice

NJ22 thanks for sharing the photos

Stars glad she has been quiet today

Dianah sounds like me, I like to get packing long before even a short vacation

Went to church earlier than usual as the minister was concerned about the details of the bishop's visit. Though actually the visit went fairly smoothly, only a few changes to what I would normally do as assisting minister.  Longer than normal service, as there was a baptism and several confirmations, which are apparently common during a bishop's visit.  Had a luncheon afterwards

The rest of the day I did cooking and took my bike out for the first time in weeks.  Seemed to work OK.  Was going to do laundry early but decided to just leave it today

Coworker is off until tomorrow, so today could be another crazy day, we'll see.  Otherwise should be a pretty normal day apart from laundry

Was quite cold this morning but will be a bit warmer than normal today, lower 60s

Good morning!

I had a restless sleep for some reason.  No anxiety really, just not sleeping for long periods.   To make matters worse for some reason my work alarm went off at 5:00AM.  I might have set it when I used the timer feature yesterday.  DOH

Didn't do a whole lot yesterday, but went to yoga, shopped and cooked and was able to relax and watch a TV show.

I forgot my wallet and when I used Google Pay, it went to my credit card and I thought I put my new debit card in there.  Need to figure that out.  First world problems.

I gained six pounds back that I lost being sick and it's been stable the last week or so.  I tend to be high fiber plant forward diet so maintaining weight takes some eating.

Bowling tonight and it will be a normal day off.  Hopefully shake off the fog I'm feeling from not sleeping well.

Sunny and 70 degrees here; really it has been very nice.

Enjoyed your photos, J22. And pumpkin ginger cranberry scones sound delicious.

Tweety, I'm glad you're feeling better. It's good that you can enjoy the time off, though it's too bad you had to cancel the trip. Have fun bowling!

Joe, that sounds like a fun evening at the fundraiser. I'm guessing it was a successful one. I think that stepson was baptized during a bishop's visit a few months ago. He's attending an Episcopal church near where he lives. He asked us if he'd ever been baptized and ... oddly, no. Hubs' family were Quakers, and they don't do baptisms. We joined the United Methodist Church when stepson was about 6 and they traditionally baptize infants. He moved to his mom's the year he would have gone through confirmation at our church, so missed that opportunity, too. The bishop that was there when he was baptized is the bishop who officiated (?) Pete Buttigieg's wedding.

I spent Friday afternoon handing out candy (representing the hospital) in another community about 25 miles away. It was a nice day and there were hundreds of kids who paraded around the downtown area. Saturday we did the same thing at our local event out by the lake, again hundreds of kids. Saturday the wind picked up and it got kind of chilly by the time we were done. Both nights Hubs and I sat by the fire and handed out candy at home to a small number of trick-or-treaters. We brought our little fire pit around to the front yard. Had the skeletal pirate on the sailboat with a pirate flag flying.

Yesterday was my birthday. The boys made tacos. Their trip to Kansas for the friend's wedding reception went well.

Sharing a picture of the hospital cats. They love to be fed but do not want to be petted.

Just hit the report button and ask them to move it.  Or maybe Dianah will see this and move it for you.

My Monday post wouldn't post without moderator approval.  I wonder what I said?  LOL

Started the day off well but had a relapse in GI symptoms and took an Immodium.  Guess this is my life now.

I made some pretty good white bean, tomatoey pasta dish for lunches, mowed the grass and washed the car.  So it's been a productive day even if I'm in a funk.

Those are striking kitties.

For what it's worth, the pumpkin-ginger-cranberry scone recipe can be found on the Food Network site.

It's overcast today, only 50 degrees. I took some cuttings from some plants that I hope to overwinter. It's getting so expensive to buy new ones every year. We have a little greenhouse, but we don't heat it. We do manage to fill it for the Winter with plants that need a little protection, and some stuff that goes dormant goes in the garage.

I have an appointment for a facial later today. I am debating whether I want to make the 40 minute walk there and back. I normally would take my bike, which is out of commission for now. I've already done a walk with the dogs.

Sleep was tough last night. I've been getting a lot of reflux that keeps me awake. I'll have dh pick up some omeprazole at Costco for me. My sister takes it continually, but I've read that can impair vitamin absorption. I was popping tums in the night, tried milk and soda crackers, nothing helped for long.

Pepcid and Gas-x works better for me and doesn't have the same S/E's as Omeprazole.

Sometimes I take both just before bed, so I don't have the reflux problems during the night. Also, sleeping on my left side keeps my gut from wanting to cause cramps and excessive belching.
