Joe, Happy Birthday! I hope you enjoy your Godiva chocolates, they are SO good! It must be difficult to establish a new relationship with J; likely he is finding it so as well. You will work it out.
We are learning a couple new songs for our 20-min Christmas program, on Dec. 10. Easy ones, not any of the complicated ones. I would love to do Wexford Carol, but that one will take a little more work than I want to give it at this time. Plus, I am not the only one who will be working on it! There are three others! So, I will not torture them. ?
Have a good day!
Good afternoon --
Blue skies, sunshine and a definite chill in the air. I slept until 11 AM and then went back to bed because the house felt cold. But after another hour, I had to get up, as practically my whole skeleton was aching. Maybe I did a little bit too much in the last couple of days. Thank goodness for TheraCare wraps for the lower back and/or hips!
Hubby went to the eye-care center. They are going to make him a whole new pair of glasses at no charge as they are under warranty! They gave him a 'loaner' set to wear in the meantime.
The heating/cooling guy came to do our 6 month servicing, changed the filters and whatnot.
Hubby is out in the Ford (man-cave). I had to remind him that the Ford needs inspection ASAP, so we can get the tag renewed; the tag and tax are already paid for, but we won't get the sticker until it's inspected.
I doubt he has called the doctor's office to see about getting a cancellation slot to get in earlier. Once "the worst" of something is over, he so easily 'forgets' and thinks he can make it during the time between now and the appt on 12/6. < Ah, denial, it ain't no river in Egypt! > I hope he straightens up to fly right, as I am getting darn sick and tired of running the household.
Ah, well, I suppose I can stop for now. Nothing much else to tell y'all.
Hi. We are driving home from a brief visit to the big city. Was up at 5, the drive only took 1 1/2 hrs instead of my projected 2 1/4. Still didn’t get done until 9:30, then out to breaky and COFFEE in the cute little neighborhood we lived in as newly weds. I was also feeling nostalgic, walking around the UW hospital. Dd was there for 10 days as a newborn, and it’s right next to my alma mater. I like how I didn’t have to change into one of those thin hospital gowns for the CT.
Laundry is on the docket this afternoon, and chopping veg for dressing, and putting out a little Thanksgiving decor.
Stay warm out there, all you cool cats.
G'day
Joe, you've been more than patient with J's nearly 100% record of canceling plans on you. More than I would be. All the best in navigating that and again Happy Birthday!
Dianah, probably good to keep things simple and familiar for the program.
J22, glad the CT is done and over. Bet that coffee was good.
I had annual competencies today. It took from 7:30 to 12:00. I did learn a few new policies and procedures so it wasn't a total waste of time. To my joy I got 19 out of 20 rhythm strips correct on the test and need no remedial class.
I came home and had a veggie burger and went back to bed for a bit. Bowling is tonight. With competencies behind me I can feel like vacation is starting.
My goodness gracious sake's alive! It must be my 1/2 birthday, because I got a JUMBO box of books in the mail! Wheeeee! All of them look interesting! One of the old movies I always liked is about the 1906 earthquake in San Francisco, starring Clark Gable and Jeannette McDonald and a few others. Will be more interesting to read about it, to find out the stories behind the romanticized, fictionalized movie. Also, the book about the Titanic will be good to delve into. And Anne Perry, et al., And a needed book about "Incredible Answers to Prayers"

Thanks Tweety
Dianah a cake is not something I've made, at least not for years
NJ22 hope the CT went well and that you didn't miss the caffeine
Stars here's hoping you can get him in ASAP and that he does not have bronchitis
It's my birthday today. Took the Friday before my birthday off, as I have Thanksgiving and the Friday after off
J and I planned on getting together yesterday afternoon but due to his allergies he decided to cancel and try today instead *eyeroll*. We've texted a few times since then, so I think he's likely being on the level with me. If not, I'll find out soon enough. I don't have patience for games, if it's too awkward for him to remain friends I hope he lets me know soon so we can move on, tired of spending time and energy on this. I'd prefer we do get together, but we need to resolve this
Have decided I will not ask him to drive me home from my colonoscopy, early next month, will ask my dad instead. I think we need to stick to our original plan of not getting together next month and waiting until January to get together again. I think we need some time apart
Also need to find time to see the counselor and figure out where to go from here, a few sessions could really help me get direction
Yesterday was fairly good otherwise. Did the cooking in the morning, went to church, then went out and bought some Frango mints and Godiva chocolate. Got some supplies for an embroidery project I plan to start. Exercised and watched A Boy Named Charlie Brown
Hoping work won't be crazy, after having been off Friday and having 2 people off this week
Will be warmer today, into the 40s, and up to the 50s later in the week
