Ado I don't think I've ever read Wuthering Heights

Stars reviewing those documents seems like a good idea

Dianh I thought about getting a tomato plant for indoors but turns out they're poisonous for cats

NJ22 they are huge.  I tried planting herbs once but they didn't grow well  indoors

Tweety thanks for sharing the photo

Yesterday was a quieter day for me.  Went to church,  then came home and did a crock pot pumpkin soup.  Got some CEUs done while that was going.   Once it was done I took the bike to the old neighborhood  and rode around there a bit.  Was a very warm day, in the  mid/upper 80s

Found out my old church, the one our family went to, is going to close down.  Just too few people to keep going.  Frankly I'm amazed they kept going this long

Nothing unusual going on today, hopefully work won't be too bad

Will be a rainy day in the low 60s here

J22 and Tweety, thank you for your bird pictures! Tweety, yours reminds me of why I occasionally Google things like "most affordable beach communities to retire to". And conclude that it probably isn't going to happen. There is beauty here, of course, and I'm OK with that... but I've adored the beach since I first experienced it at age 14.

Since my family spent Sundays during my childhood at the beach (from like about 10 AM to 5 PM), I always wanted to live in the mountains. I only like the beach now in the off season.

Laundry Day (again). I am finally washing my dirty clothes, and figured it's almost two weeks, since there a 14 tops: jerseys, T's, and blouses. Today, since I don't plan to go out anywhere, I am wearing some old saggy-baggies. I can't get over that I have lost weight to the degree that many of my clothes are too big now. Of course I've lost slowly, over a good bit of time, so I doubt I will grow back into the too-large stuff anytime soon. But after trying on several of my favorite blouses, I realized that the women's shelter shop is going to get another large bag of perfectly good, but unwearable, for me, clothing. I'll pick up a few blouses here and there after I see what size I should buy now. But that is the least of my concerns now. But it did make me feel good to put on one blouse this morning and after one look in the mirror, I said to myself, "No,no, no, this is NOT going to work!" ? It briefly put some stars in my eyes!

Nannie is conked out in the recliner. Hubby is up in his bed; he told me to get him up around 4:30 PM. And I slept well for two nights in a row!

Guess I'll go put some birdseed out....

Laydah, you'n's!

Good evening!

I've always loved the beach and the good thing is the Tampa Bay Area is a major metropolitan area, something I need.  Country, mountain and small town life I couldn't do.  I live in a very liberal area with progressive mayors but the state as a whole is becoming unhearing with DeSantis at the helm and his ever-so-obedient super-majority in the state house and senate.  For the first time is 30 years I'm beginning to wonder if I will stay.

Overtime shift today wasn't too horrible.

Hello all!

I like living within an hour or two of the beach, though we don't go very often.  It's just comforting for me to have it near, and a choice to go, if I want.  In our area, we are smack-dab in-between: one could snow-ski in the morning, then drive to the beach for the afternoon.  Not that I have done that, y'unnerstand...

Gosh, had an awful night.  Took some ibuprofen for some back discomfort (from squatting while digging in the dirt.  I won't call it gardening, as I am NO gardener!), but realized I was getting vertigo if I turned my head to the left too quickly (while in bed).  Struggled with that all night.  I found I could sleep on either side, if I turned slowly, kinda in stages.  This morning my balance was off.  I looked up symptoms and triggers, and came up with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV).  Did a couple of recommended exercises (aren't nurses THE WORST patients???? :D :D ).

This afternoon we drove out to get the RV, and I drove the car home.  Balance is much better, and I am not getting any vertigo.  I don't feel tip-top, but I am better than this morning.   As long as I am doing better, I don't think I will call for an appt this week.  When I told dh about the symptoms, he reports he got a little vertigo about a week ago, and it passed.  Perhaps we are sharing a virus...

Once home, I took the car back out to get gas in it, then dropped off our registration to the DMV, then stopped at Lowe's to get a bell pepper plant and a basil plant.  Planted those when I got home.   Joe, they are all (including the cherry tomato) planted out-doors, in a little 2 X 6 foot plot of dirt, from which I recently removed a very pernicious and aggravating plant.  Some kind of sedge, with a fluffy tip, grew about 3 ft tall.  Very ugly, IMO.  So I ripped it all out and decided I would plant a few veggies.

No Stars, congrats on the weight loss!  Here's hoping for low-drama days for you, at home.

Love the bird photos and reports of bird spottings!

Nothing else new here.  Have a good evening!
