Good morning!
Stars, glad you're feeling better and hope things improve for you today.
Joe, hope you have a good day.
Work was busy. My shift change report was interrupted by a patient in respiratory distress and off to ICU he went. Shift ended with a patient in rapid a-fib but he spontaneously healed himself and he stayed. Also a patient fell, but I had to let the next shift deal with that. That's what I get for signing up for overtime on the day we lose an hour sleep. LOL. I ordered Chinese takeout since I was so late getting home. That's not a good habit but it was good.
Off today. It's a dreary day, no sun, chilly and drizzly.
Rumor has it some roof work is going to happen tomorrow and the gutter work today. Actually the gutter guys just got here.
Today's forecast is supposedly going to be what yesterday's forecast was supposed to be, but which didn't happen yesterday. Clear on that?
Momo ate her breakfast just before we went to bed at 10 PM. She was bouncy and playful when we got into bed,,,,,barking at me to toss her little blue toy dog around and "LET'S PLAY! C'MON!!"
Nannie is at daycare and I will have to go get her between 4 and 4:30 PM. Have a few non-essential or non-critical things on my to-do list, so I'm not sweating it; will probably stop at two places on my way to get her.
I did change back to the clogs, and within several hours the aches and pains had dialed themselves WAAAAY back. The wrong shoes can play havoc with my back and knees!
Anyway, I am going to get dressed, and then I don't know what I will be doing to pass the time until I have to head out. But it doesn't much matter, so Pllrrrbbb! and Pfft!
And here's a surprise from yesterday's Horror-scope for me: They said to look out because it was on it's way and it would be good: Buutttt, NOTHING happened. (I guess that's 'good'?)
I think we've discussed before that I can't imagine trying to date at this age. My mother used to say that about people who were divorced or widowed after a certain age... that if you found someone new, you'd just end up taking care of them.
Friday afternoon was chaotic in our little ER and I stayed late to help the best I could. Saturday I took newspapers to the Wildlife rehab and some clothes to Goodwill. Met my friend who sells the jewelry to pick up my purchase. Got all that done before the rain got started and then it rained and was wet and cold the rest of the day. So I took a nap. Then wasn't able to sleep well Saturday night. Or Sunday night. For one thing, Hubs was making a lot of snoring noises both nights. For another, I seem to have some post-nasal drip making me uncomfortable with scratchy throat, etc. Tonight I might try a Claritin before bed.
There was a leadership meeting after church yesterday. There seems to be some unrest around declining attendance and not having an active youth group. From the same people who complained that the one toddler who attends regularly makes too much noise. If you want teenagers, you're probably going to have to tolerate some children! I just sensed some irritation and hatefulness that I didn't think was appropriate. Then as they talked about a few individuals who have stopped attending, it became clear that some of them left because the church didn't "dis-affiliate" from the United Methodist Church. I think that's sad. I was glad we didn't dis-affiliate. I was not part of any leadership team at that point, so I don't know if there was any serious discussion about doing so.
It's 73 and sunny and breezy today. Cooler weather will return for the weekend (oh yay!). It was nice the last couple of mornings to have birds singing when I left the house.
Just a run of the mill, gray day here. We took MiL to her chiropractor appointment. It is tough to see how short of breath she gets just going from house to car, and then car to office, even with supplemental O2. I fear she will pass before the end of the year. My SiL, whom MiL lives with is having her own health issues. Apparently she has an aneurysm behind her eye that will need attention soon. I get the info secondhand, so is it in her eye, behind her eye, behind the socket? She is consulting with either a neurologist, a neurosurgeon or maybe an eye surgeon?
We went to lunch with dd and I had to bite my lip. She is new to managing people and dh, who loves to pontificate on management said some stuff. He said that when we were young, in the 70s and 80s , there was no big social change like today. Um, hello. Women's movement? I remember him resenting working moms needing to take sick days for their kids, or wanting maternity leave. I know he never sweated finding good childcare, or had employers asking if he planned to have children. Grrr.
I was going to drop off donations to the Humane Society thrift shop, but they are closed on Mondays. I'll do it tomorrow after my dentist appointment. I did pick up my new license plates, so the car feels more like mine.

Hi TMB
Stars glad the aches have eased up
Dianah sounds like a nice day
Yesterday was good. Did the cooking and the laundry in the morning. Later wen to the coffee meetup with the over 50 group. Somewhat more people than usual showed up. Afterwards ran errands and went for a walk, as the weather was quite nice
Today have a Zoom meeting with church discussing the next concert at the church, which I think will be in May. Otherwise should be a quiet night
Going to be quite warm today, will get up to the upper 60s I think
