Stars glad the pharmacy run is done

Dianah so far I have not found it.  Hope the rain stops

NJ22 that sounds like a nice time

Yesterday was quieter.  Got to church early to help with ushering.  Came home and did cooking and dishes.  Exercised later, used the exercise bike as it was kinda cool and rainy most of the day

Today need to pick up a book after work, the next one our book club will be doing.  Our meeting is tomorrow.  A book club is being set up at church too, will get the book for that once we have a date for the meeting

Will be a bit warmer today, in the low 70s

Good morning!
Joe, hope you have a good week.

Dianah, hope you enjoy yourself.

Work was busy but okay.  The charge nurse that was stationed on the other wing  on Sunday came over and ask "would you be okay if I took your tech because we're really busy".  I wasn't witchy but calmly said "no, I would not be okay with that but if you came and said that you're taking the tech, I would have to deal with it wouldn't I? So make your decision".  Her:  "I'm taking your tech".

Just like I told an administrator who came and asked "how are things going".  I said "you will never hear me say things are good when I have 6:1...EVER".

I've always had a compliant filter but not so much anymore after 30 years of abuse.  LOL

No overtime this week and off for three days.  Having a routine eye exam today.  Don't expect any problems.  Not sure if I'll get new glasses or not.  Depends on if there are changes and if my insurance will pay.

Have a great day!

And yet another pharmacy run today, for 2 of hubby's refills. I will have to check what meds Nannie will need re-writes on....I am taking her to the primary doc tomorrow at 1 PM. Whoopee. ?

Hubby just now asked me (he is dozing off and on in his recliner): "Where is Ozzie-Man?" I told Ozzie was no longer with us. "Where is he?" Um, I took him to the vet and had him put to sleep last year (or further back; I don't remember.) Hubby said, "Where did you take him?" To the vet in Mt. Pleasant   Now I'm wondering how fast hubby's brain is disintegrating. That was just WEIRD for him to ask that out of the blue! But I can say for certain that since I picked up his Xanax today, he has probably already partaken of a Xanax and had a snort or two of vodka. Psshhtt.

And last night when I turned off the TV at 10 PM, I said to Nannie, "Show's over, Time for you to go to bed." She said "What?" I told her I turned the TV off because the show we were watching had ended. Then she said, "Do I have to go home now?" I soooo much wanted to ask where her car keys were, but all I really said was, "You ARE at home. You live here."

Nannie hasn't spoken to hubby for two days! This is since their last argument. He said she used to do this to his dad all the time, give him the silent treatment. She keeps trying to talk to me but she is using her gargling soprano tone of voice, from her throat. If she would just speak from her diaphragm she'd be a lot easier to understand. Not that I care much, it usually has to do with something she's seen outside, like a bird or something. Also, she said earlier: "What's that noise?" I told her it was the guy who mows our grass. "What does he look like?" I said, "He's short, thin and bald." (Hubby said, "What does it matter what he looks like?" but she wouldn't answer him.) "Is the door locked?" she asked. ("Are you afraid he's going to come in here?" hubby asked.)

This is a house of looney-tunes! Now if only someone would say, "Th-th-th-that's all folks!"

Got Nannie to go to bed at 8:00 PM! She kept fiddling with a bunch of her cards that she saves and props behind a framed photo. It was driving me nuts because she did it over and over...8 times in a half hour; and kept dropping things, trying to refold some paper towels that were already folded, and she kept rearranging the cards. I said. "Are you ready to go to bed?" and she said she guessed she was. Hallelujah.

Another load of laundry for tomorrow; I have the galloping crud. Blech!

We had a pleasant, sunny warm day for a change. I dropped off a fancy cupcake, a card and a gift to sis. I swung by eldest ds's house to check on his dog, because she was sick in the morning. She seemed her energetic bouncy self, which I reported. Then I went to Winco, and picked up produce and protein. And some ice. Dh got it in his head to change the filter on the fridge, and now the ice maker is broken. I also called two vets to see if I could Angus in sooner to get his echo. He seems to be breathing harder. He has an appointment next Wednesday. He is restless but tired at the same time.

Good for you Tweety, for making it clear you were not happy about losing a tech. I hope your eye exam was uneventful.

Good evening, all.

Tweety, I admire your ability to speak the truth.

Today was the coolest June 12 on record for Oklahoma City, at 67 degrees. The previous record was 72. It rained (and thundered) off and on all day. Not to worry, we'll be back in the 90s by the end of the week.

I briefly worked med/surg tonight as we were admitting a 6th patient, who would need blood, and had only one nurse scheduled. But she sent me home. Some people are more selfless than I am. I would have kept a second nurse around just for the company. Maybe she doesn't like my company ? Naw, that can't be it!
