Stars glad he wasn't hurt

Dianah glad that your dh's tooth extraction didn't require you to cut  short your trip

Tweety it's good they're getting help around the home

Hi NJ22

Ado a picnic sounds nice

Did not get together with J yesterday, he still wasn't feeling well.  Turns out he missed meds on Fri and Sat, and is worried about his best friend's father, who is in the hospital.  Hopefully after a few days of taking his meds reliably he'll feel better and calmer

Did coffee hour at church yesterday, had a good crowd as there was a baptism.  Got some CEU completed for my MI license renewal and signed up for some required training.  And worked on sending more stuff for my PA license application.  Rode my bike a bit too, though not too long as it was a bit warm

Have today off.  We were supposed to have a reunion around this time but that didn't happen, so I kept one of the days off.  Will do more bird watching today and not much else,  will mostly take it easy

Will be in the 70s today, cooler than it has been.

Good morning!

Joe, enjoy the day off.

Visiting dog wags her tail when she sees me but is still skittish when I approach.  But she slept in her bed in my room and she's with me know and lets me hold and put her.  I guess she has trust issues since I tried to murder her with the antibiotic.

Routine day off around here.  Got a really good Florida-style thunderstorm last night.  Pride was this weekend while I worked and I'm enjoying seeing all the people out since it was canceled due to covid the last two years.  Seems like life is pretty much back to normal around here.

Hi. It's another hot day, but I am in my air-conditioned office. Not much going on work-wise. The weekly Zoom meeting with the state TB program was about Ukrainian refugees and trying to assist them in getting their required TB screening. Apparently there is a relatively high occurrence of multi-drug resistant TB disease in Ukraine.

Tweety, that's good that your visitor is settling in. DD's dog is doing okay with us, but Angus doesn't seem happy that she's there. One more day and she'll go to stay with eldest ds.

Joe, I always welcome an extra day off! As for birdwatching, I have noticed a killdeer hanging out around a pond that I pass during dog walks. There used to be several in a nearby field, but its now full of about 100 new houses.

Another beautiful day here, and I'm inside. I did walk over to the taco truck for lunch. Poor sleep again last night and I was really feeling it while watching a CMS webinar (severe sepsis will now have different criteria for pregnant women between 22? weeks gestation and 3 days post delivery). I really must work on improving my sleep habits. I think allergies are part of the problem, too.

The peri-op team is having a long day. There must have been a lot of cataract surgeries today.

Howdy~

This area is having its usual spastic weather, with intermittent showers in some spots, but not here. None of the sources agree with each other, and Nannie, who sits beside the glass door to the back yard keeps asking at intervals: "Is it raining?"  And the next moment she says, (Yes, she does!) "Boy that sun is BRIGHT!"

Nannie is understanding less, and fewer, things even right after she has had it explained to her. Explaining, of course, is useless, but what do you say? 'Never mind, you wouldn't understand?' So, it will be a l-o-n-g and tedious several months until November, because she thinks some of the candidates' ads are part of the news and wants me to turn the sound back up so she can hear it and see what's going on. IT'S JUST AN AD! IT ISN'T PART OF THE NEWS!! I know she "can't help it" but sometimes it is just so aggravating! I control the "mute" button, but find it ridiculous to mute out something I'm trying to listen to so I can tell Nannie what it's about. I wave my hand in a 'stop' motion and say, "Shhshshshhhhhh!" but by then they are on to another story. It's the only TV here so I can't watch the news on another TV in another room. Ach!

Got my new 'broken-down' laptop back from the manufacturer. Can't get into it, so can't erase what I had put in it when I was using it. The only way to do that would erase what is also on the laptop I use now. We will have to both go somewhere so someone can do that for us, because hubby wants to use it as HIS laptop, and we have gone as far as we can toward that end.....in other words, two ignorant-of-computer users trying to figure things out, well, it  tends to enhance quibbling. Get me a professional!

No ballgame tonight and most of the real-crime shows we watch are RE-RUNS! So, we are watching "Dr G" (Medical Examiner) do an autopsy and explain what she finds as she goes through the body, a system at a time. Right now her assistant is "carefully" sawing through the cranium. ?

Bowing out now; talk w/ yez another time!

So, Nannie decided to go to bed at 9:30 because no ballgame was on. Then at 10:30 she came out and said to me, "Is it time for me to get up yet?" Uh, no, you only went to bed an hour ago; it'd be best for you to go back to bed and try again.

She did the same thing a few nights ago. When I went upstairs at midnight, she sneaked back out into the den and stayed in her chair the rest of the night.

I don't care if she wants to sleep in her chair, but I don't like being pushed out of the den before I'm ready to go to bed myself.

I've just been getting more bored and irritable lately, so if I sound cross, that's because I AM!
