Hi Tweety

Dianah I think I've heard of that watering trick too

Stars music can help lift mood, too bad it didn't  help you sleep

NJ22 thanks for sharing the garden pictures

Was a bit less busy yesterday.  Church and coffee hour in the morning.  Then came home and did cooking and worked on CEUs.  Then went for a bike ride as the  weather was nice

Hoping today goes OK at work, this month will be covering some of the cases for someone who left, thankfully her replacement will be ready in a few weeks.  Woke up with a bit of a headache this morning, which is unusual for me

Going to get into the low 80s today, a bit warmer than yesterday but definitely cooler than last week

Good morning!
Joe, hope your workday is good today.

Dianah, I've never thought to recycle used printer cartridges.  Good idea.  I use my printer primarily for recipes that I find on Pinterest.

J22, nice pictures.  Gardening is something I hope to get into when I retire.  Just don't have the energy for it now.

Ado, hope the trip is going okay.

Tony Curtis was a hottie back in his early days.

Best friend and I are going to an art exhibit at the library in the town next door that features queer artists for Pride.  I can't imagine it will be that much as it's a small library.  It's a city library and not associated with the county which is how they get away with such an exhibit.  The city is quite devoted to their small library.  Gulfport, where it's located, is a city of only 11,000 people and is part of our megapolis here and you can't tell where St. Petersburg ends and Gulfport begins.  But they are known for their artsy community and for being "weird".  There's a sports bar, a vegan restaurant, art galleries and it's a nice community.  Every Tuesday they have a street fair with vendors of all types that is very popular during snowbird season. They are also known for having a large number of lesbians that live there.

Hello!

Sounds like fun, Tweety: art exhibit and meal with best friend!  Enjoy!  I, too, have realized I can only do so much.  Working took up so much of my kinetic and emotional energy, it was nice to rest at home at the end of the day, rather than choose projects to do.  Now I am retired, I am learning to redirect energies. Thus, have only four garden plants going, LOL!  It's a start!  And, there's always tomorrow.

Joe, hope your headache disappears, and that the workday is smooth and goes by FAST.  Nice you got a bike ride in yesterday!

nursej22, love all the garden photos, thank you!

Ado, how are you doing?

No Stars, how is today?

Not much planned for today, I'm afraid.  Need to get funds together to pay house/pet sitter while we're gone.  Just other little piddly things.

Have a good day!

I actually managed to sleep about 5 hours, I think. Anyway, I don't feel so yech today. Having odd little gypsy twinges, none of which stay put in one place for long; weird, but that's why I call them gypsies.

I went to Wal-Mart and got the Xanax. I found some peppercorn ranch dsg which I recently discovered I like! Not thrilled it is Kraft, but none of the other brands had a peppercorn ranch, so I got what there was. ('cause ? ya can't get what there isn't!)

I think we won yesterday afternoon's ballgame. No games today.

Nannie told hubby that he would probably see some men down in the woods, cutting down trees, but not to worry, because she gave them permission. HUH! Whaddya know. He said she had also 'wrangled up' a long string of stories or anecdotes about...?... nothing that made sense. Like, she had talked on the phone with so-and-so, about this and that. She has no phone. We disconnected the land-line after we were here a year or so.

Oh, hey! Accu-Weather is on my lap-top, and boy, talk about weird! Last night it read that today would be 71 degrees and there was a 1% chance of rain. How the heck can they pin the prediction down, saying that it might be 1% chance? STOOPIT!

Hello to Joe, Tweety, dianah , and j22, and whomever I forgot to mention!

Filled my gas tank from 1/4 full to almost full, for $30. These prices go up and down every day! Hard to keep track of, and I am not good enough at being a "math-head" to figure out how much gas I will need. Plus I can never remember how many gallons the tank of my car holds, so ... OH WELL!

Hubby has been out in the Ford most all day, looking at things on his 'smaht- phone.' (That's my North-of-Boston pronunciation coming out there!)

Don't know what supper will be. I am leaning toward some PANERA baked-potato soup, adding some Li'l Smokies, but hubby hasn't said how his stomach is feeling today.

I still want to send him to the Mayo Clinic for a full-body work-up. He still doesn't have his meds and mediset taken care of, but he will have to see the doc for refills. When I tell him that, he grunts that that's just the doctors trying to get more of his money. Oh, right. Jeeeze! He doesn't want to understand that his Medicare and the Supplement take care of the meds, doctor's office visit, and ER (which he hasn't had to go to lately, KNOCK ON WOOD!) He says he is tired of taking pills that 'don't do any good', and yet, the bathroom counter upstairs has more than several bottles of OTC stuff for gas and bloating, which he alternates according to what 'helped' the last time. ( Dauktaur Hubbie, ie Doctor Hubby.)

All for now!

Hello. It's a nice, warm day, although a little breezy. I got a manicure this morning after my run. While I was gone, eldest ds came by with a new backpack that I agreed to sew some patches on. He wants to cover up the manufacturers' log. That took me about 30 minutes, and much of that just getting my sewing supplies out. Dh is out shopping, again. He had to go back to Costco for a prescription, and then was going to grocery store to stock up on meat. I don't know where he will put it, the freezer and fridge are full. As are the cupboards and the counter tops. He just has this urge to have enough food on hand to survive the next pandemic. He wanted me to go along, but no thanks. Most stores seem to keep the thermostat set to "frosty", as does dh. I hate to be cold. I chased the vacuum around, and cleaned the bathrooms, and popped a load of clothes into the washer.  Tomorrow I have Master Gardener training to do, and then a meeting about  their/our booth for the county fair. And then we are going to the local, minor league baseball game.

Potato soup sounds good. I suspect Mr. Stars doesn't want to see doc because he'd likely end up in the hospital. Of course, we all know the bloating is probably fluid needing to be tapped.

Dianah, your garden sounds great. Yes, I've heard of that water trick, but I haven't tried it. I did see one blossom on one tomato plant yesterday. Maybe we'll have a ripe fruit by July.

An art show sounds fun. We may go to a garden art festival this weekend.

Joe, I hope you headache went away, and work was kind.

I don't think hubby would even agree to go to the hospital. Anyway, he is not 'actively sick'; though he is laden with multiple diagnoses and the problems they bring. He drinks vodka every day, and isn't particularly concerned with stopping or going through detox anytime soon. It doesn't impress him that he has (BIGLY!) potential for going through some crises that will lead to feeling even worse or possibly death. It wouldn't hurt his feelings if he just dies, but I told him it may not be likely, so don't count on 'the easy way out.'
