Stars hope the pain eases up

Ado day off at the pool sounds nice

NJ22 that sounds like nice weather

Tweety glad the staffing was good

Yesterday was fairly busy.  Ushered at church.  After that came home and did laundry.  Then met my friend N at a coffeehouse and hung out for an hour or two. Then came home and did the cooking for the week

Today will be heading down to the reunion later this morning,  About an hour and a half drive away, will be there for a couple hours.  Got everything done the last 2 days so I would have time for all the driving today

Should be another hot day, getting up to the upper 90s.  No rain expected

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a pleasant day despite the heat.

I must have fell asleep hard and fast as I was reading about 10:30 and next I know it's 2AM and lights are on and book is bedside me.  Got up around 5AM and fed Waffles and we slept a bit longer.

Other than the meeting today at noon, I'll head to the gym and have a normal day off.

Hope everyone has a good day.

98 degrees with a 'feels like' of 106 degrees.....ain't THAT fun? Humidity is in the high 60's, no rain, barely any breezes.  I got up at 8 AM and took my meds and slapped on a capsaicin patch on the usual AM 'offending' lower-back pain and went back to bed for a few more hours of sleep . Slathered lidocaine on my lateral hips and both knees, but still haven't yet rid myself of the gypsies. Maybe in a while they will ease off with some mild activity....which would naturally be the three top tasks....dishes, wastebasket emptying, and maybe laundry.

But first I have to wake up the Nannie-person, who is caved over on her right side, crunkled up, but while sitting in the recliner. I dunno how long she has been there in that position; no covers, and I'll bet you she is totally soaked in the chair; haven't checked the bed yet, which I will do after I install her on the toilet to get washed and dressed.

Wanna have  good, hearty, morning laugh? Her horror-scope says her logic is IMPECCABLE today! WOW! Must be the position of all the stars in some distant universe, because I can't see THAT happening in the here and now!

No sense in putting it off any longer. *sigh* Up and away, Junior Birdmen!

It is almost 5 PM and I have been enjoying nature.....from indoors, that is. I've been watching a very happy dragonfly as it keeps swooping through a cloud of those tiny little flying bugs.......it is "all-you-can-eat" day in the back yard! I swear the dragonfly is smiling and saying "Wheeeee!" It will be downright FAT by the time the sun sets!

We have our AC set on 74, but down here in the den, with the AC's ceiling vents blowing down on us, I am wearing a cardigan and have a lap-robe over my legs because it feels so cold! We have a heat-pump, so even in the cold weather, when the heat is set on 72 degrees, it does NOT make a person feel any warmer! But maybe it saves us money? I dunno. Anyway, it seems kind of funny to be bundled up inside the house when it is so miserably hot outside!

I gave Nannie ONE extra strength Tylenol for her complaints about her right shoulder and neck feeling sore (from being folded up sleeping in the recliner before I ever got up and discovered her there) and that one Tylenol has sent her to the Happy Sleeper's Campground. She is so relaxed and still, (no fidgeting) it is hard to believe!

My air conditioner is set at 80 and that's plenty cool for my tastes.  It would struggle if I set it at 74 in the Summer.   I set it at 74 in the Winter.

Had a decent day.  Was watching something in the kitchen when my roommate turned on the TV in the living room drowning me out, complete with the usual commentary "there's a heatwave", "they're reporting on how much you need to live comfortably".  OK then.

My house in Winter: a pleasant 64-66.

My house in Summer: a barely tolerable 70.

Most Alaskan folk don't appreciate the heat.  It got to ~90 in the interior recently and you'd think people were dying.  That heat is generally accommodating by lightening and now there's a good size fire in my neck of the woods again.  I'm getting too old for this baloney.
