Tweety sounds like an interesting book

Stars hope it was a fairly calm day despite all the laundry

Dianah that sounds like a nice venue for a wedding

Ado I hope you don't end up serving on a jury

Did some meal prep before church, then got there a bit early to serve as assisting minister.  Then came home and did the cooking for the week.  After that took the train downtown to meet my friend B to go out to lunch and to walk the Riverwalk along the Chicago River.  Weather was good for the walk, although I should have probably brought a jacket as it was pretty cold

Today should be pretty ordinary, nothing going on except work and laundry.

Will be quite warm today, in the upper 80s

Good morning!

J22 when my hand tendons were acting up my doc put me on NSAIDS, 800 of ibuprofen TID for a week and when it didn't work gave me another week. Which I think helped.  Good thing I have a strong stomach and kidneys.  I think regular steroids would have been better but what do I know?  Eventually over time and I continue to stretch the area it subsided.

My friend up near Cincinnati said he turned on his heat the other day and that Summer is slow to arrive.  We're cloudy here today and it might rain and it's in the upper 80's.  Tampa already had 16 days in a row over 90 until the other day.  Summer was quick to arrive here.

Not much on the agenda but normal stuff.  Going to make some chickpea curry dish.  The recipe seems similar to stuff I've before with spices, veggies and coconut milk.

I finished the book and skimmed through the last few pages as I was getting aggravated with the characters.  Not something I usually do even when aggravated.  LOL.  Going to start a mystery.

Have a great day.

Hiya~

Got up early to get Nannie up and ready to go to daycare. After I 'dumped off the old broad' 😜, I made a deposit at the bank, and came right back home. Had some coffee, and tried to figure out my checking balance. The past two weeks I balanced it to the penny, but this time I hadn't figured in a couple of automatic withdrawal payments, nor a grocery visit or two. Got to the point where I said "To heck with this!". Then I actually napped on the sofa for an hour and a half (I am not usually a napper) and woke up feeling much more human. Then I ate something so I could take my Prednisone.

Momo hardly coughed at all yesterday, and has only coughed once this morning. She's eating, peeing, pooping and playing normally, so I am putting off the call to the vet for now, and will keep her under observation.

Don't have to wash Nannie's bed sheets today! YAY! Not sure how I will spend the next 3 and l/2 hours until I go get her, but I am not stressing about it, for sure. Maybe I'll do something and maybe I'll do nothing. Right now I am enjoying the peace and quiet, which is sometimes JUST as important as chores and tasks! For now I will boop around on-line and see what is going on in the world.

Supposed to get to 80 degrees today, and be partly to mostly cloudy, although the sun is shining right now. "They" say we may have a late afternoon rain and/or thunder storm, which is the normal weather for this time of year. I CANNOT believe it is already June!

SiL told me, before they left, that when they get back they are going to give me $100 to go buy an outfit to wear at my niece's wedding on June 21st. Can't have me wearing my usual blue jeans and jersey to the wedding, doncha know!  Lordie, I hate to shop, and to shop for 'something decent looking' is a pain. I do not wear skirts or dresses, and I only have 2 pair of (very casual) shoes, so I will have to find the fine line between kind of dressing up, and what I might actually wear again. I still have the outfit I wore to nieces' first wedding, lo, these many years ago. I grew out of it once, and now I am back to the size I was when I got it, and it is nice enough, so I will try it on and see if it will do. It would save me a lot of aggravation to be able to get by with it. I ain't no fashionista, that's for sure!

Okie-dokie, that's all for now!

Good morning. I followed dh to the dealership to get our pickup looked at. They did a bunch of work on the transmission last month and it's acting up.Hopefully, they can find and fix the issue. We'll pick it up tomorrow. I took the dogs for their walk before it gets too warm. My big boy seems to get overheated easily.

I've got some garden tasks I think I can do one-handed- spray some deer repellent, trim a little pine tree, plant some zinnia seeds. Youngest grandson has a school band concert tonight that we'll attend. And I found a recipe for rhubarb cookies that I'm going to try, if the rhubarb is still usable.

Thanks for the tip, Tweety. I've been advised that NSAIDs could interfere with one of my meds, but maybe a week or two would work to calm things down in my stupid foot.

I got a note about making a PCP appointment for a yearly med review, and admitting I fell. I'm dreading the accompanying comments. Yes, I know I should have turned on the light; yes, I know I could get seriously hurt; no, I was not under the influence of anything other than lack of sleep. No, I was not dizzy, did not lose my balance or black out.

Stars, perhaps you can find some comfy slacks and a nice tunic top, and some flats. When I was still working I had some stretchy slacks I found at macys, and would layer with a tank and a blouse. I find comfy shoes hard to find, but I have the opposite kind of foot than you. My feet are short and fat, but I have some Mary Jane flats that are my go-to, if sneakers are too casual.

I sped through my last book, because the end was so predictable and there were just too many words in the way, LOL.

I am sleepy again, but wary about taking another nap. I closed my eyes for a moment and when I opened them I was surprised that there was no Nannie in the recliner. I am so infrequently Nannie-less, it is a pleasant surprise to find myself so!

I thought I was going to get out of it but I am on the jury. The judge estimates 3-3.5 days to present the case.

The Jeep broke down on Twin A on his way home from work so Hubs has left to go rescue him. It was 87 degrees when I looked at the sign at the bank this afternoon. And humid. Not Florida humid or Indiana humid but ... the-ground-is-saturated-and-it-is-getting-hot humid.
