Tweety hope hot yoga went OK

Stars glad you got a break from her today

NJ22 hope the rash eases up

Yesterday was pretty good.  Went to church to usher. Ran a few errands.  Then went into the city. Trains were crowded as a lot of sporting events going on, but no cancellations or other issues.  Coffee went well, talked for a good while.  Will probably work out as a friend but will have to get together a few more times to be sure.  Was going to exercise too but after all the walking to and from the station in the humidity decided not to.  Did laundry instead

Today have the doctor after work but otherwise should be a fairly normal day

Will be a bit warm, low 90s, humid and rainy, at least in the morning.  Will get cooler towards the end of the week

Good morning!

Well the big news is Tampa hit 100 for the first time in recorded history yesterday.  Big news here.  I knew with climate change I would see it happen in my lifetime soon.

Hot yoga went well but had to stop at a bathroom in a grocery store.  Antibiodics don't seem be fixing things.  Will talk to my doc later in the week.

Waffles was doing some postering over and over and Google told me she might be some kind of back pain or stomach pain.  It let it go on a bit and she didn't stop so I took her to the ER where it stopped and they could find no concerning symptoms.  I elected to just take her home and watch her rather than get further testing like x-rays and labs done.  The vet was fine with that.  Offered some pain medication and I declined that.  Got her home and she was 100% her self.  He was thinking she might have been having some stomach cramps.  She chomped down and ate some of a hardback book the other day and that might have been it.  She's not a chewer or destructive but every now and then will eat an Amazon box or a book.  Weirdo

So this week I've had food poisoning that needed an urgent care visit, a flat tire, a broken garage door that cost me $1800 to fix, a broken commode (easy fix once I got the right part) and a vet visit.  Not to mention the refrigerator breaking a few weeks back.  This dark cloud over me needs to go away.

98 degrees with a 'feels like' of 108 degrees; 58% humidity, and 60% chance of rain/storm around 4 PM. Yesterday the weather was predicted to be at least 100 degrees for each day for this entire week, but then they changed it to being in the upper 80's. They don't know! Or they can't make up their minds! We'll just have to wait and see what Mother Nature sends our way. It is summertime, after all, so the heat and humidity are just doing their summertime thing.

I forgot it's Monday and Nannie is at the Senior Center, so the house is so nice and quiet, 😉

Tinker woke me up at 10:15 AM with more face licking. I got dressed and got up to feed her. Now I am trying to wake up with a large cup of coffee. Don't know what I might do today....... maybe something, maybe nothing! Well, except I know I will be walking the dog around the yard a few times, but more likely it will be more yard-walks than "a few", like yesterday.

OK, well, I don't seem to have much to say.... Maybe later....

Hello all!

Whew, I slept well last night!  Yesterday we left home around 1pm to pick up fiddler and go to the Oak Glen area for a hymn sing.  Fiddler was playing piano for the hymn sing, and we helped with backup instruments and singing.  About 60 ppl showed up, and were very enthusiastic!  It was a lot of fun!  They plan on having it once a month, so it was announced.

When we got home, though, I was SO tired, I lay down for an hour or so.  Just SO tired.  And I slept well last night, after supper and watching another episode of Madame Blanc Mysteries.  I didn't exercise, felt too tired for that.  And slept well last night.

Today I need to get a few things at the grocery store, after deciding what to make for a few meals.  Probably will make the Chicken Tomatillo Soup again, but may also make a taco salad (minus carbs for me), just to be different.

Have a good day/evening!

Tweety, I hope your fortunes turn around over the next week!

Hi, Tinker!

The weekend was OK. I went to the memorial service for a church friend on Saturday. And Hubs and I went to church Sunday. I made a grocery store run and made enchiladas with homemade sauce (a green sauce and a red sauce).

Twin B alerted me to a patient that had been discharged but his nursing home wasn't able to provide transportation. That is to say, Twin B alerted me at 11:00 pm when the guy had been discharged at 4:00 pm. I went to the hospital and got the guy settled in an empty med/surg room (we had a census of 1) until morning when the nursing home could come get him. (it's 25 miles away). This is becoming a more frequent problem. So now I hear that the ED nurses are complaining that Twin B notifies me when homeless patients or other discharged-but-not-gone patients are hanging out in the lobby.

I've been reading a Kindle book about Eliza Hamilton that I finally got really interested in and it just got automatically "returned" today. I have another book available to download that I had a hold on, but I do want to finish the other one, too.
