Tweety that sounds like it will be a big help

Stars sounds like you have a productive day planned

Yesterday was fairly busy for me.  Had church in the morning, then headed for a coffee get together with the over 50 group.  Only 3 of us, though it was a nice time, like that particular organizer a lot.  Then came home and made some orange yogurt muffins and some shakshuka.  The muffins were more work than my usual recipe so I hope they turn out better

Today have a doctor's appointment after work, hopefully did not gain too much weight.  Nothing else unusual going on, thankfully no coworkers on vacation, at least not for the foreseeable future

Going to be a rainy and stormy day today in the lower 80s

Good morning!

Joe, you made me go weigh myself.  I'm stuck.

Took the guy 3 hours to come over and put together two bookcases and my desk but he did a good job.  The desk looks good but is a bit smaller than I thought but okay.  I straightened out the garage some and swept while he was here.  He was a really young man, probably early 20's, fresh from Russia.

Nothing much else going on.

Have a good day.

Good morning. Quiet weekend here. Weather was nice, but now raining. We need it, and I hope it reaches the east side of the state, where there are fires. Thankfully, nothing as bad as Oregon or California is having.

Saturday night we went down to the yearly "picnic" at the park, to eat and visit with other community members. This celebration has been yearly for 128 years. It takes place in a park where several log buildings have been relocated and restored. I splurged and had a corn dog that was quite good, but suffered with heartburn later. I saw a unit clerk from the hospital I worked at and she caught me up on who was still working and it what department. I missed out on a recent retirement celebration, oops.

I thought we were leaving Tuesday to go camping, but it's actually Thursday. I need to shop for food, and get it packed, and put clean sheets on the bed. dh is worried that we can't do "things" because we will have the dogs, but I am content to just walk with them and sit and read. He likes to shop and visit attractions, and I like to just enjoy listening to the waves.

I will be able to go with sis to her initial visit with the medical oncologist, and I am going to her place tomorrow while her new heat pump is installed and she will be at radiology for a scan. She is starting to worry about the medical bills, but I think this is part of the grieving process for her (bargaining).

Good morning!

After spending a ridiculous amount of time this morning trying to scan my passport in the airline app (finally succeeded) I toyed with not going in to the office until time for the med staff meeting at noon but then had an Outlook reminder that I had a meeting at 10. It was online and I could have done it from home but it is just easier to come in and sit at the real computer and be away from Gma, Hubs, and Twin B and whatever they have going on. I did 2 loads of laundry yesterday and another one is in the washer now. Then I'll need to decide what to pack and get that done. My little bit of weight gain has all my clothes fitting a little less comfortably. The scales didn't move much, but apparently some of the adipose tissue did. 🙂

I finished my latest e-book which was a murder mystery. The protagonist was a woman who entered nurse training at Bellevue in the 1870s, when it was still a very novel thing. The mystery itself was nothing special but the descriptions of what was going on in the hospital made me think that the author did really good research or perhaps worked in the medical field. After I finished it, I learned she is a nurse. She still would have to have done a lot of research to portray medicine as it was 150 years ago. I assume it was reasonably realistic.

Got up at 12 noon again. So much for getting up earlier! In a few minutes I have to go get Nannie up and I am wondering how she liked the new bed. She also now has one of those pull-up bars anchored under the mattress, on the upper side, at the head of the bed, you know, to help her sit up, if she even remembers how to use it.

I never did get to do much of anything upstairs yesterday, after SiL and BiL left, and I'm not sure yet how today will pan out. It is overcast and has been raining. High will be 79 degrees, I think. 95% humidity.

Uh-oh, I hear Nannie moving around in her room, so I better go see what she is up to.

She said she "loves" her new bed, and she had already made it up (as usual), but it isn't soaked, just damp, so I opened up all the covers and turned the ceiling fan on. She said, " I was thinking of you coming in here and I was in 3rd heaven"....and then when I brought in the clothes to put on her, she slapped her hands together, and with a big smile, she said "Hot diggity, I like those clothes; look how well they go together!" Well, honestly I have learned over the years what she likes, and purple is a sure winner; plus, she said, "These have sleeves that are JUST RIGHT!" .....ie, they go all the way down to her wrists, without her having to stretch them. And now that I have noticed, she doesn't have her wrist brace on! Wonder if I should reapply it?

She's gobbled up her breakfast. I am going to have to run out for cranberry juice and yogurt in a short while, and pick up my med refills. Not sure if I will tote Nannie along or not. Maybe she will be cooperative and fall asleep so I can dash off without her.

Anyway, all for now!

That was fast! She requested her shoulder wrap to take the 'chill' off her, and I also put the little pillow behind her neck and she is already half way to the Land of Nod! So I told her I was going out to the pharmacy and store and would not be too long. She said "okay" and closed her eyes and settled in.

Now I hear thunder, I think. Best bring the umbrella along.

Pro-bob-abbly will be back here after a while. (probobally is longer version of 'prolly')

When I got back and settled into my spot on the sofa, Nannie opened her eyes and said "Where am I?"

Oh, dear!
