Good morning!
Joe, hope you have a good work day and week. Glad the meet up went well.
J22, sounds like a productive day. Your life as a wife and mother reminded me of my work life when I'm in charge. Constantly disappointing people. Whatever.
Ado, good luck with the bed bug treatment.
Stars, even though your team beat Tampa Bay I believe Tampa Bay still has the best record and having a really good season. They play here in St. Pete and their winning streak will give them leverage for getting a new stadium. For years they've been trying to end their contract and have someone build them a better stadium where they will make more money but the city has been holding them to their contract. Would be a shame to lose them and then have to spend millions in tearing down the stadium with other development, but good riddance. I'm totally against them getting a new stadium here. They have a huge fan base but people are still loyal to the teams where they come from most notably the Yankees and Red Sox which sells out the stadium when they come to town.
I went to the gym yesterday and my electronic entry key didn't work. I wonder if it's time to renew. They annoy me and never give me notice that I need to renew and it's usually when I'm locked out that I find out. But at least I made the effort. I'll call them later.
I slept better last night but still struggled a bit.
It is my payday! It's coming out of Nannie's and hubby's SS checks. I have $400 in my new savings account! Of course, it only comes out to $100/wk, but the $400 will be automatically deposited on the 18th of every month. And at least it is something. Phew!
I told hubby we have to talk w/ the guy who handles Nannie's annuity. Even if she can only be covered for 2 months, it'll be worth it. Won't know until he calls that guy, though. I'm really pushing this because, well, we ALL know why!
Will have to come back later, supper is almost ready.
One of the A/C units at the (brand new!) hospital failed Friday. The guys from the company were working on it today but it's still not working. Maintenance set up several fans to keep air moving between the places that had cool air and the ones that didn't.
Friday night we d/c'd a patient who didn't have a way to get home. I ended up paying for a taxi myself. It is expensive because there's no taxi service in this small town. I *might* have been able to find an Uber driver who *might* have done it for less.
Because we are close to the university town and kind of close to OKC, CMS actually considers our hospital "large urban" which is crazy. Many of our patients come from far out in this county or from a couple of other counties that are *quite* rural. This patient lived at least 20 miles away. We don't have a benevolence fund or any other way to pay. There is a bus service available M-F, 8-5ish that is cheap in town and a bit more to local towns but nothing like a taxi or Uber.
Anyway, I'm thinking we need a better plan. It doesn't happen often but when it does...
There is a ministerial alliance of the local clergy who cooperate to meet needs when people ask. I suspect they're chronically underfunded, though.

Tweety hope sleep was better last night
Stars good that you got to bed when planned
NJ22 sounds like you had a productive day
Yesterday was good, weather was nice and traffic wasn't bad into the city. Meet up was nice, maybe 8-10 people, good conversation. Will be there again next week. Looking at some other LGBT groups that have stuff coming up at the end of the month
Rest of the day wasn't too busy. Got the laundry done and exercised and worked on a shopping list for this week
Nothing unusual planned for today, hoping that work is not too bad
Will be a bit cooler today, around 80. Like yesterday air quality isn't great
