Ado that's nearly as cold as it is here

Yesterday was good, glad I got the cooking and baking done yesterday.  Went to church early to usher, left nearly a half hour early to drive the car around to warm it up.  Pretty few people in church given the cold.  Then was home for a bit before heading out to the mixer than afternoon.  Stayed longer than I expected, met some people but no one from the gay group.  Did run into a former minister and her wife, was good to catch up.  Worked on yet another dating profile and this week's shopping list once I got home

Today should be quiet at work, the insurance company we work with is closed for MLK Day so no new work should be forthcoming.  Tonight seeing the doctor, after which I will ease off my diet for a day or two.  Definitely lost weight but probably not at my goal yet so can only be off diet a short time.  Otherwise should be a quiet day

It's about -9 right now, by the time I leave for the doctor's it should be about -1.  At least the snow is holding off

Good luck at the doctor Joe.  

I did what I often do and got up after not being able to sleep thinking it was later than it was.  It was 4:30AM.  Went back to bed around 8:00 and slept a couple more hours.  I'd fallen asleep relatively early before 10:00 pm.

I have back to back appointments with the endodontist that is doing the root canal and then the dentist that is doing the crown.  Bowling later if I feel up to it.

Very unmotivated to do much else.

Tweety~ I'm not awake enough to feel motivated.

I did take Momo down to the den so she would pee on her peepad and not be tempted to pee on the bed. There were 1/2 dozen little blood spots on the fitted sheet, but I'll be hornswoggled (?!) if I'm going to change the whole bed...they aren't wet, and the bed covers keep them 'secret'. After she ate, she sneaked up to the step below the step to the upstairs hallway, and I saw her peeking up at me, so I invited back onto the bed ... happy dog!! I situated her on her baby blanket so her butt would stay off the ivory colored down blanket. She's happy to be back on the bed while I have my coffee and check in here. Then I have to get dressed and prepare my head for Nannie-care.

? SO, over to the closet to pick out my best couture outfit ? and on with the day....

I am awake, but not motivated, too. Well, I was. I did a short jog at the park and it was frosty, but not too bite-y. The temp was around 30, with only a trace of northerly wind. The forecast is to warm up to mid 30s and start snowing tomorrow or Wednesday. I don't mind a little snow, but it could be freezing rain too. I stopped by the pharmacy in my running tights, snug fitting running jacket, and beanie, and the clerk said I looked like a speed skater. I spent a little time in the yard, picking up dog waste, then tackled the mountain of dishes that never seems to go away. I predict the dishwasher won't thaw until the end of the week. blergh. I had a weird call to the homeowner insurance company, after verifying I couldn't do what I needed online. I had to tell the customer service rep about 5 times that I paid off my mortgage and they should bill me, not the escrow account. And, I wanted to set up auto withdrawal to pay, but that requires a signed form and voided check. Really? What year is it? And she couldn't tell me if I would be billed monthly, yearly, or twice yearly, or what the premium would be. Actually, she didn't seem to understand the term premium. But she was nice. 

I am preparing to watch a recorded online class about pruning fruit trees. I was actually supposed to watch it live yesterday, but forgot and only saw the last 45 minutes. We only have 1 apple and 2 pear trees, but I signed up for CE hours for master gardening. Huh, I gave up do CE for nursing and took on a new requirement.

J22 -- Well, at least she was nice. ?

I took the afternoon off since Hubs said this morning that what he wanted for his bday was for me to stay home. 

CMS claims, in an email, that I can manually edit the file to substitute the proper code for sex. I'll try that tomorrow but I'm dubious. 

We played Poetry for Neanderthals again as our birthday fun. It was fun though we argued over the syllable count of certain words. Fire. Girl. Boy. Oil. 

Stars, my wardrobe style if I don't have to go anywhere consists of jeans, t-shirt, no bra. I'll put socks on my feet (and maybe wear a long-sleeved t-shirt) if I'm cold.

My 'couture" consists of jeans, a turrleneck jersey and some kind of sweater and a heavier pull-on like a sweater or a hoodie. How VERY GLAMOROUS!
