Yesterday was mostly church and fairly tiring.  Got to church early to get some coffee hour stuff ready.  Then attended adult education.  Then served as usher for an unusually long service as they included a recognition of the local Boy Scout troop.  Then doing coffee hour and the associated clean up.  Was there 3 or 4 hours total

It was nice, we had a good crowd and was glad to see many of the newest member participating.  This despite having to have it in the parish hall as the boiler for the sanctuary is in need of repair

But I was pretty exhausted when I got home, though I still had to make the crock pot  recipe.  Did that but didn't get much else done, was too tired

Texted with J, an elderly friend of his has been in the hospital due to a failed pacemaker, hopefully she'll be released soon.  And his best friend's family is experiencing some more turmoil, which unfortunately seems to be their lot in life

Going to be another fairly warm day today in the upper 40s

Good morning!

Hi Joe, have a good day.  Hope it's not too crazy.

After using my air conditioner briefly last week the heat came on but it should be in the mid-60's later.  Nice and sunny outside.

Didn't sleep well.  I think part of it is my usual insomnia but am watching a disturbing movie on Netflix, the updated version "All Quiet on the Western Front" and the novel I'm reading, "Yes Daddy", are very grisly and grim.  Need something a little more light hearted.

Waiting on the repair guy to come fix my washer between 8 - 5 but the app shows him way up north county and that he's estimated to arrive after 14:00.  That's good to know but I hope he's not delayed and makes it and that he fixes things and doesn't have order parts.  I have a huge pile of laundry.

Been doing some meal prep and have to clean the bathrooms.  Excitement.

Hope you can get some laundry done tonight, Tweety ? At times when I've had breakdowns of the laundry machines I have just given up and taken a few loads to a laundromat so that I could do more than one load at a time. The last time we did that it was hard to find a laundromat, though. Had to go up by the university. 

Hubs' phone was buzzing about 1:30 this morning. I was awake due to some reflux that was uncomfortable. I woke him and he looked at the phone and said something about it being a "private number" and "who's calling me at this time of night?" So when it rang again he tried to answer it but was too slow and then *my* phone rang. It was the xxxx County sheriff department in Indiana calling about stepson's car. Hubs and I have discussed that someday we may get a call from the police about stepson and I was afraid this was it, but no. Someone was driving stepson's car and apparently either wrecked it or was stopped in it and was going to be going to jail for something. The deputy was trying to find out whether the guy was really authorized to be driving the car. I gave him stepson's phone number (how did they get ours, but not his?) and he tried it but said it just went to voicemail. If I hadn't been half asleep I might have thought to suggest calling Hubs' sister-in-law who lives next door to stepson, but then again it was the middle of the night. So I sent a text to stepson telling him to call the xxxx County Sheriff's dept. Don't know what more to do. No telling what the situation was with the car.

It is sunny but windy and 61 degrees. Rain expected tonight and colder later in the week.

Howdy~

Today I actually got something done.....it was the shredding of a collection of stuff from before Christmas, up to the present day. Took me over an hour and filled three 30 gal trash bags. PHEW! I also got all the stacks of clean clothes up on the bed, but have yet to figure out where to store them all. I still have to clean out the closet, so maybe there will be a little space there. And if I have to stack boxes, I will.

However, it is almost "what's for supper" time. Both hubby and Nannie are sleeping. He is in his bed, and she looks like a sack of dirty laundry plopped down on the recliner, and is out like a light. This may be one of the evenings she doesn't want to wake up to eat supper. Who knows.

Okay, well, that's all for the moment.....

Hi. Feeling low today, don't know why. I went for a run, felt really weak and short of breath. Came home and tried to practice my presentation for tomorrow and dh got on his phone, and using speaker phone, was shouting at the person on the other line, so I gave up because I kept losing my concentration. Then he left to take some stuff back to his old employer. So I got a chance to practice and then got sucked into my computer. Blergh. I did call and make an appointment to see a dermatologist about some bumps on my face. I doubt anything can be done about them, but I thought I would have someone look at them while I still had private insurance.
