G'day!
Joe, enjoy the day off.
I slept in after feeding the dogs at their 6AM feeding time. Got a few chores done before getting online.
Undefeated Florida State is going to some bowl but didn't make it into the semi-finals much to the dismay of fans.
Warm and quite muggy today in the upper 70's.
Have a good day!
Hiya, hiya, hiya!
I have no desire to date! No desire to marry again! It would take me a long time to adjust to living with another person. It took me almost two years to be able to sleep without earplugs, no kidding, because hubby was BREATHING, not to mention snoring sometimes. But even the lightest snore was enough to keep me awake! Generally, any snoring *I* might do ? doesn't often wake me up! I am now 74 and I enjoy my quiet time, so I can do what I want, when I want to, and how I want to! I'm a stubborn ol' Yankee woman, y'know! I spent years doing PDN and accommodating myself to other people in my care, so I feel like I need some of that accommodating for MYSELF now! Having said all that, I am pretty nice and understanding of others.....I just don't want to spend ALL my time being at the beck and call and whimsy of someone else. I have to start being a bit more selfish and stop putting myself last in line!
This morning it took me 45 minutes to talk myself into getting up and taking a shower! Momo finally crawled pout from under the covers and started licking my neck, so I got up and showered. It was funny afterwards when I sat on the side of my bed and started getting dressed, Momo came over sniffed up my side, practically into my armpit. I said, "Do I smell better now?" Maybe that neck-licking was a hint, don't ya think?
Just saw a cat out back on the patio, it had caught one of those little lizards and was playing with it; the lizard sneaked into a crack in the cement, but the cat persisted in trying to pull it out with its paw, and it took the cat 6 minutes to fish it out. Eventually the lizard died and the cat lost interest. I tried to get Momo interested in watching, or even seeing, the cat, but as has been remarked about her by others....she "only has eyes for you." Yes, I am totally IT to her!
I think I will take the bags of papers that need shredding OUT of the back of the car where it has been sitting for several weeks, and re-load the back of the car with the big bags of hubby's clothing, etc, so it will be there, ready to go, when SiL comes over tomorrow afternoon. I can drive by the thrift shop on my way to the car dealership to have my tires seen to.
Onward and upward----->
Yup, I dood it! I have loaded 7 heavy 50 gallon trash bags out into the car, and I am doing a last load of laundry of hubby's stuff, which will make 8 bags! I'm glad I did it all now instead of waiting until tomorrow! The knuckles on my right hand are complaining and my left shoulder is doing the same. NO MORE LIFTING TODAY! Well, except for folding the things now in the dryer and putting them in a bag. I am wiped out! But I am proud of myself, and it feels good to have it done.
Tomorrow I can wipe down the closet and vacuum it, and start toting my clothes over to it, and I already have the dresser ready to be loaded with my things, as well.
WHEW!
The music was excellent.
Twin A had somehow ripped his wear-to-work coat next to a seam by the pocket and insisted it be fixed (!) before he went to work today. I found some fabric I thought would work for a patch yesterday. Today on my lunch break I did the patching. I think it looks fine but he wants to find "a tailor" to actually remove and replace that section of fabric. I understand that this coat was expensive and one of his first big purchases after he got this job. And he works outside in all seasons and needs a good coat for that. But.
He just got home and I asked how it held up and he said, "Good for the most part. It's not waterproof, though." *sigh*
My phone says it's 42 degrees. It sure feels colder than that when I am outside with the dogs..

Stars that's nice that they're being so helpful
Yesterday was pretty busy but productive. Went to church a bit early as I was assisting with the service, pretty small crowd. Then came home and baked the pumpkin spice cake, it turned out pretty good. I froze it and will unthaw and frost it closer to the potluck. Went online and got another gift for nephew and found an interesting game in the stores for niece, so Christmas shopping is officially done. Watched opera and went for a walk
For my day off today will go hiking early, trying a new location. Then will head downtown to the Christmas market again to get ornaments for my little tree, hopefully this time weather won't be an issue
Going to be in the low 40s again, rain should hold off today
