Dianah glad the cold is improving

Tweety sounds like a nice morning, wish it was that warm here

Stars here's hoping tomorrow he commits to inpatient rehab, and that he sees how bad his current situation is

NJ22 glad your sister is doing  better

Yesterday morning was church, was the assisting minister.  Since I did laundry Sat I stopped for a few more groceries before church

After church I went back home for a bit then to the convention for a few more hours.  Was great, picked up some nice art prints and met a bunch more people  and took pictures.  Came home  and  then met a bunch of people  at a Culver's near the convention for a final goodbye, as yesterday was the last day.  Funny, I did less than I've done before at this convention but somehow enjoyed it more.  Really has reinvigorated my interest in the community

The cat still has a reduced appetite, though otherwise seems normal, so I'll look for a vet who can get her in in the next week or two, as this doesn't seem an urgent issue.  Even if she was fine I would be getting her an appointment  in the near future, as she's  getting older and  hasn't  been to a vet in a long time

Today have the day off,  and thankfully little to do, so I will do some bird watching  and cleaning and  some knitting

Will be in the 40s with some rain possible  this  afternoon

Hello all!

Joe, cats are so frustratingly quiet when they are not feeling well.  It's good you notice her appetite is off, and are pursuing this.  I hope she improves.  It was a pleasure to hear you enjoyed your time at the convention!

Slept well last night, didn't elevate the HOB!  Still occasional coughing and runny nose but no worse than allergies, really.  It's a relief to feel (nearly) well. ?

Today we will meet with fiddler and drive up to high desert to practice Christmas program with bassist and fiddler.  Hopefully it will come together for Saturday..

We cancelled Tuesday's Disneyland reservation trip, as we felt we might not quite be up to all that walking, so soon after being sick.  We have next Tuesday reserved to go, though, so will get to see the lights.

Stay well and warm, and have a good day!

Just got back from a chilly jog. I thought I’d share a couple of photos from my route. My route today was along the river and then around the athletic fields and Japanese cherry tree garden. CCB3FB89-4876-4FB5-A36C-948F0044F63E.thumb.jpeg.cf6dce90d565f87d488ec3f03590361b.jpeg4088C4A1-50FB-4AEF-9573-4D797DD84CF7.thumb.jpeg.08b56645711c64ce6ec0b9145a4d168d.jpeg

nursej22, I can just feel the nip in the air, in those photos!  Good you continue to exercise -- you too, Joe!

Howdy-

It is almost time to put in the chicken pot pies. Both nappers are mid-siesta; hubby said he didn't sleep at all last night, but he slept so much yesterday, that's why. Another item to put on the list of things to tell the doc.

I went to the tag office about the sticker.....and the woman there peeled up a corner of the mailing, and there it was! I stood in line in back of twelve people to find that out! Good grief!

It's a cool, gray day...possible sprinkles here and there. I'm not feeling so down today. So far.

Off to pre-heat the oven~

Great pictures, Joe and J22!

I had to laugh about Tweety's nice knees. Hubs has nice legs/knees, too.

I ended up working med/surg again Saturday (0700 -1430). Was OK except for the confused 93-year-old who punched me in the nose. I was fine; she couldn't hit hard. She wanted to pull out her IV; I tried to keep that from happening; she wasn't having it. Just minutes before that I was thinking she was sweet. Hah!

Hubs was down with tummy troubles yesterday but seems better today. Today, Gma has a slight fever. She's coughing, but she always does. If Hubs backs out of going to Florida with me, I will be disappointed. We planned to stay until Sunday so we could have a little time to enjoy. We're supposed to fly out early Wednesday morning, and I don't think I can get any refund on the airline tickets.

So I went to church alone yesterday and sang with the choir. Then we cleared a space in the living room for the Christmas tree. Maybe tonight we'll actually set it up. I spent a ridiculous amount of time looking for the basket I keep my fall decorations in so that I could put them away. Finally found it in my closet.

The boys went out with friends Friday night to celebrate their birthday and had a great time. I'm glad they have friends who see them.

I realize now that I should have posted a pic of the patches of ice on the path. It is only about 30 degrees.

I overslept, and I don't know where the day went. I made an appointment for a massage tomorrow. I have had this nagging headache off and on for a week and I think it's tight muscles in my right shoulder and neck. My son had his eye surgery today for a retinal hemorrhage. His wife sent a picture of him eating a huge breakfast, as I suppose he had to be npo. I hope this lasts for a while. He has had several laser treatments and hates those. I took some chicken out to thaw for dinner, but I am not feeling very inspired.

#$%^&*()%@#(%(*&^$$#!! EGADS!

The doctor's office called and cancelled hubby's appt tomorrow. They offered another appt on Wednesday morning. He said 10:20 AM was "too early" but I said, with great emphasis, "You TAKE that appointment, early or not!!" Now I am having to wait one more day, UGH! Nannie is to have her stitches out after his appt. I get to drive both of them, ain't that a thrill?

OMG, NoStars. Good for you for putting your foot down. I don't envy that drive.

As the saying goes, No Stars, "Ain't we got fun??"  Good they had an appt the next day, if they were going to cancel!

Just got in from practice.  Though it was an hour's drive each way, and dh and I were still in Recovery Hacking Mode, and though we only got a little over 2 hr of practice time, it was all very worthwhile.  We all felt like we accomplished a lot.  Learned two new songs, solidified some of the vocals (trio work).  I have some work to do now, in putting together the "set list," and then documenting the "forms" of each piece we will do (how each number is started, how many verses, who takes a 'break' on which section, and how it ends -- etc.).  This is all so I have my brains on paper, so in case my memory blanks out, I will have everything ready and can say to myself, "oh yeah, that's how we started that..."  We have 20-25 min of music to do, which will turn out to be 5-6 songs.  We have seven on schedule, just in case we fall short and they need more.

We all agreed, it was AWFULLY nice to play and sing together!!   And we had wonderful Vietnamese food afterwards!  We have another practice on Friday, and then the program is Saturday morning.

Hope you all have a good evening!
