Tweety glad the show was good

Ado it's going to be warm here too

NJ22 I think I had an odd dream last night too

Stars good that you were able to distract her

Quieter day yesterday.  Had church in the morning.  Then came home and did the cooking for the week, made a broccoli salad.  Then ran an errand or two and exercised.

Today should be a fairly ordinary day, nothing unusual going on either during work or afterwards.

Going to be quite warm today, in the mid 90s and fairly humid

Good morning!

Joe hope you have a good ordinary day.

I plan on having an ordinary day myself.  Now that I'm feeling better it's time to tackle some routine chores.  I made a nice tomato sauce with fresh tomatoes that's supposed to be Arab style but tastes quite Mediterranean because it just has garlic, paprika and brown sugar.  But it doesn't have Italian herbs so that's unique.  But it's a good base and I might add some Arab spice blends and make something.  Otherwise yesterday was still not much action.

Bowling season starts tonight!  There was talk about moving the time up 30 minutes which means more traffic for people on this side of the water of Tampa Bay but it is what it is and I'm looking forward to seeing the gang again.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Oh YEAH! I'm going to have a GOOD day! Just as I was about to post, SURPRISE! My phone rang and it was SiL leaving me a text that she's on her way over to pick up Nannie and keep her for the afternoon, "if it's okay with you." I texted her back, "Goody! You KNOW it's okay with me!!"  I went down to the kitchen and set up Nannie's breakfast tray and meds, then came back up to my bed where Momo and I are relaxing until SiL and Nannie are gone.

This is A BIG, FAT w00t! 😊😋 Especially for a Monday!

Gonna be between 92 and 98 degrees today, low humidity, no rain. I've turned all the upstairs fans on (it is always hotter up here, while in the den it is very chilly), because I plan to take care of rearranging my bedroom! I've been cogitating on this for 3-4 days and did some preliminary clearing so I can move my dresser by 90 degrees to the corner of the wall beside it. Hard to explain, but basically it is on the wall where it faces the foot of the bed, and with the mirror on top of the dresser, it reflects my bedside light which is annoying, AND I can see myself sitting up in bed, which I'd rather not! So, turning it so the mirror reflects the other wall, minus me, is my plan. Have to pull out the drawers so I can kind of 'walk' it over to its new spot. But I believe it will work fine.

Later I will take a refreshing shower and shampoo, another thing I've been wanting to do but have had to put off for several days due to Nannie NOT sleeping in the afternoon. She tried 4 times yesterday to get out of her recliner by scooting herself onto the (electric remote-controlled) footrest....which will eventually BREAK it if she doesn't QUIT! I had to walk her outside even though I told her how hot it was and how good that WASN'T for a person her age; it even said so on TV, but like I said, Nannie needs proof positive, and she did prove it to herself after two loops to the end of the driveway and back. She came in kind of breathless and saying "Gosh, it is HOT out there." (No kidding) That's when I got her supper tray ready, and eating did work to calm her restlessness down.

Not long now before SiL takes Nannie off in her brand-new car(A Honda-Something)

Later, y'all!

As one of Red Skelton's characters used to say, "I dood it, I DOOD IT!" It took me all of 15 minutes and the dresser is in it's new position with the drawers back in place. Some other time I will empty the drawers to rearrange what's in them, but NOW I will start in by moving my desk over to where the dresser was! You know, for some reason I find it easier to clean when I rearrange things first.

Oh, my friend from Florida whose niece rescued Momo from the hoarder-lady, just called, so I'll be listening to her for a little (she's another one of those REAL talkers) while before I can get back to my room. And someone tried to call me while I'm on the phone with her, but I do not intend to stay on the phone all afternoon.

Okay, going to nicely work my way out of this conversation....I hope. 🙄

Bye, again!

Here's another Don't it just figure!

I got the dresser moved and the desk moved, and I was going to straighten up my closet and then take a shower. Well. SiL called and said she was on her way over to bring Nannie back because Nannie doesn't feel good. I jumped in the shower real quick because I didn't want to go one more day without a good scrubbing! SiL said she got Nannie up to the bathroom 4 or more times but she didn't do anything except pee a little, and there was no BM at her rectum waiting to come out, (and anyway she pooped yesterday). We both think Nannie has a UTI, and I called the doc's office to make her an appt ASAP, but they had me on hold for 1/2 hour and I gave up. Tomorrow morning I will go over to the doc's office and get a hat and spec cup, and see if HER doctor can see her before the middle of October. She might already have a follow-up appt with the female doc she saw when SiL brought her over there last week, I dunno. I also got a voicemail from an RN over at that office, who I think was calling because SiL had asked the other doc about having some home-health (CNA's) visits to give me more of a break. Anyway I left that nurse a message with my name and number, but it was right near the end of office hours, so I may not hear back until tomorrow.

Poor Nannie --- she now can't remember things from 30 seconds before. When SiL got her settled in the recliner, she pointed out to SiL's car and said, "Are you going to take me out?" and was frowning when we both told her that she had just been brought back home3

The lawnmower is a success and Hubs is pretty proud of himself.

Stars, I'm glad you got a little bit of a break today but darn the UTI.

My Monday: grumpy patients, grumpy doctors, grumpy physical therapist, and a sweet baby shower.

I have resolved Nannie's ICK feeling by disimpacting her.....of a LOT....of packed tight stool. And I didn't get all of it out, but gloriosky, she is acting human now.

I've been down here in the den watching HGTV Celebrity IOU.(Danny Trejo is on.)

I kind of forgot I had done work up in my room earlier, and just now started getting very 😁 excited to see how good it is already looking, and what else I want to do. I have to go down to the shed tomorrow and get one of my boxes of things I had decorated my room with ....and haven't seen since .... OMG, EIGHT or NINE years ago!. (w00t!)

Hello all!

No Stars, congrats on getting the room re-arranged!  It can make a BIG difference!  I hope you can get everything done that you want.  And yes, at least you got a SMALL break from Nannie yesterday (and hopefully she will be better now that her lower bowel is empty)!

Tweety, I hope you continue to feel well, and that you got everything done you wanted.  How was bowling?  Hi to the team!

Hello Joe!

We enjoyed the Hymn Sing on Sunday, and got to chat with some friends afterwards.  Then, yesterday we dressed dapper and went to Disneyland.  It was probably 88 or 98 degrees, tops, and humidity was around 35% (so, not bad).  But I was still pretty warm, and we stayed in the shade and enjoyed the occasional breeze.  Got to hear our three favorite bands, touch base with friends (musicians), and even heard the Dapper Dans, a "barbershop quartet."  They perform up and down Main Street, doing their own arrangements of songs and Disney songs.  Their theme, right now, of course, is Halloween, and they are dressed in bright, orange-and-white striped jackets and white pants, and shoes with spats -- and straw hats.  They have some very good arrangements!

We ate at 4:30 at a restaurant in California Adventure, then walked back to Disneyland.  We wandered around Fantasyland, admiring the atmosphere -- I always have to watch the second story window, above Snow White's Scary Adventures ride where, every minute or so, the evil queen will part the curtains and glare down at the crowds, then close the curtains.  We then made our way to get on It's A Small World ride -- the only ride we went on all afternoon!  But it was fun to be on it, hadn't ridden it for probably 20 years!  It is a cute as ever!

Today is Recovery Day.  I slept in.  I may go to the grocery store for a few things.  Haven't heard from my friend S, dunno if we are walking tonight.  Our temperature is predicted to reach 99, with humidity of 32%.  We are scheduled to go to Disneyland again next week, but we are debating whether we will wait to go -- it was pretty hot.  And I almost got a blister, walking.  That rarely happens, I know which shoes to wear to prevent that!  I think it was the little sock I wore with the shoes (NO panty hose!!) that was the culprit.

California Adventure was ALL decorated for Halloween, with one of the first of the year's Oogie Boogie Bash going on in the evening (the park is closed at 6, unless one has purchased a special ticket).  All the characters were dressed for the occasion, in their trick-or-treat costumes.  Bats flew out of the Carthay Circle belfry, and the Headless Horseman statue was back in the square, with spooky sound effects.  We just needed a leeeeeeeetle bit more of fall weather!

Ah, Toby just knocked my metal water mug over.  There was very little water in it, but still...  He sure makes his presence known!

Dh is trying to order something from Amazon, and it seems Amazon is unstable at this time...

Well, that's all from here.  Have a good day and evening!

I talked about bowling in TODAY's thread which is Tuesday.  LOL.  But thanks for asking.

I know today is Tuesday, but when I try to get on that thread, it says "Sorry. New thread." and it won't show Tuesdays entries. I will try to go around Farmer Jones's barn to see if I can get on that site. If not, I may be back here to post on the wrong day!
