Hi Tweety

Decided to skip church yesterday, as I would already be spending a few hours there for the concert.  And I was so tired after the lack of sleep. So instead I went bird watching, then did the cooking for the week.  Then to church to help with the concert.  It went well the string quartet we had this time was very good

Rest of the day was fairly quiet, as I was pretty worn out.  Thankfully I slept well last night

Hoping today won't be crazy at work, but I guess we'll see.  Will be creating an event next month for the over 50 group, hopefully people will come

Will be a cooler day today of about 70, rain should be ending soon

Quiet day here. No laundry, but did dishes and emptied overloaded wastebaskets.

Big news, in East Charlotte 8 law officers were shot:  3 were State Marshalls and were killed, one policeman is in the hospital in very iffy condition; 5 other law officers were shot, but not fatally. The Marshalls were trying to serve a warrant to a felon for illegally having several large combat-type rifles/guns. The Marshall's got police back-up to the tune of about 20 more officers. There was a 4 hour standoff after one resident of the house came out shooting at them and he was killed, and then there were other shots coming at the officers from inside the house. There was a "17 y.o. juvenile. and a woman in the house", and they are now in custody. Whew! Geeze! Not near us, but about 20+ miles away. Scary, though!

G'day!

Another mass shooting.  Sometimes I wonder when our turn is.

Joe, hope you had a good day.

Not much happening here.

ugh, finally home from Seattle. I don't know why riding in a car is so darn tiring, but it is. And I didn't sleep well last night, trying to remember all that needed doing, and worrying about being late. I saw one of the heart doctors and before she came in, I had a panic attack and felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest and I couldn't breathe. The MA asked me if my blood pressure was normally 172/85. I told him and the pacer tech I was feeling extraordinarily anxious, and they dutifully carried on their tasks. Maybe this is an everyday occurrence.  I felt much better when the Dr. came in, but I'm sure she thinks I'm a kook.

We stopped and had a nice lunch (I had the 3 salad combo: pea salad, chop salad, and blue cheese salad). Then we stopped at a big plant nursery, then home. Sunny now, thunderstorms predicted for tonight.

Wow, Stars. Shades of Waco. People astound me sometimes.

As it was the BIG GET RID OF THE BUGS (again) DAY, Twin B and I got the pets to the vet to stay the night, then I went to work and he went to the motel to sleep. Twin A slept overnight at the motel and worked all day. Hubs and Gma spent the day at the motel. I'm hanging out here with the boys for a bit then will head home. Tomorrow morning Twin B and I will pick up the pets. Whew!

The convertible overheated today. Crisis after crisis.
