NJ22 that is a nice birthday present for her

Tweety glad the time with your sister was enjoyable

Dianah sounds like a fun time even if it was a bit cold

Was not able to meet up with that 3rd person yesterday, so after driving around town a bit after check out I headed home.  Did check out the east side of town, which has  expanded a lot since I got there.  Was a nice trip although not as enjoyable as last time, might make some changes next time I go there

Didn't do a whole lot once I came home yesterday afternoon.  Unpacked and ran an errand or two.  Was pretty tired and went to bed a bit early

Glad I have today off.  Will do  some bird watching this morning, then will get started on some CEUs.  Might exercise later too, if my legs are up to it.  Tried to use the exercise bike yesterday but was too worn out after all the walking

Will get up to the 50s today, a nice change from the last 2 days

Good morning!

Hope you have a good day off Joe.

Dianah, that sounds like a great day!

I got 15 CEUs this morning on the cv system.  I still have 56 more get by the end of July.   Ugh......

Otherwise will do routine stuff.  We're having a potluck at bowling tonight as it's the season finale.  I signed up to bring fried chicken of all things.  Not sure what I was thinking.  In the past my go-to has been a home made macaroni salad but by the time the sign up sheet got to me someone was already brining that and I couldn't think of anything.  Publix does make good fried chicken, so I'll order it on app for pickup later.

Didn't sleep well so I might need a nap.

Hey, all~

Forgot to post yesterday; we watched the Braves lose to the Astros, then we watched America's Funniest Videos, then American Idol. I was so tired of sitting, because when we watch TV, my seat (the sofa) requires me to turn my body or my neck to the right.

I did get the add'l 10 mg of Paxil, bringing me up to 50 mg each AM. Hope it helps!!

I asked hubby if he'd been taking the multi-vitamins the doctor told him to get. Of course, his answer was, "No, why?" So I told him about how alcoholics NEED the B's, etc. He grunted, so I don't know what he meant, like, "OK I'll take them, or... so what." And he still hasn't called to get the prescription for the test strips; we bought them at the OTC price, which wasn't too horrible because it was only a container of 30 test-strips. I suppose he is afraid to call the doctor's office, because he might have to admit he hasn't stopped drinking. (Shrug.)

National news is on. Happy re: the main story about FOX shoving Tucker Carlson out the door. Not that I watch FOX new, but he is a smarmy liar.

May be back by here later........

Ooh, I hadn't heard that about Tucker Carlson. Yes, he is a smarmy liar. The whole effort to stir up self-righteous anger on the part of the MAGAs turns my stomach. Not that I've ever had much tolerance for hyperbole and overly-emotional and dramatic language.

Hubs decided not to go to the lake Saturday because it was cold (high 40s). Later in the day he told me he felt terrible and ached all over. I don't know. He seemed fine later and yesterday. But in a foul mood. I was, admittedly, a bit of a slug over the weekend. Just couldn't make myself get going with anything. Did finish my book club book. Didn't buy groceries and I don't know what is there to fix for dinner.

It's CMS reporting time again at work so this week will be busy and stressful. Quitting for today because I hit a snag and need to talk it through with others.

I feel like I've been busy today with nothing much to show for it. I went to Urgent Care this morning because I was concerned about my venous puncture site from my cardiac procedure. Well, they don't open til 1 pm. So I got a coffee and waited for a dahlia class dh wanted to go to. That took 1 1/2 hrs then dh wanted to go to lunch (his favorite pastime outside of shopping). Then back to Urgent Care, the PA wanted me to go to the doc who did the procedure, but understood when I said she was in Seattle and I wanted it looked at. He cultured it and ordered abx. I did try to call Seattle office, as usual, had to leave a message and no call back after 4 hrs. In the mean time, I've gone for a 2 mile jog and picked up abx and my resized wedding band. It sunny and 59 degrees! And I've spent most of the sitting and waiting. Dinner may be take out as I completely forgot to stop at the store.
Does it seem weird that the PA would tell me to put abx ointment on a puncture wound? I always thought that was a no-no in case of anaerobes.

Um, wellllll....I added up the month's-worth of purchases at the ABC store on hubby's charge-card. smh. (REALLY smh!!) I'll mumble it here, because it is kind of unbelievable:  4 weeks worth of vodka cost six-hundred and twenty something dollars. YIKES! That's more than a month's car-payment! ?
