Mohawk RPN September 2014

Published

Hi, has anyone else applied to the Fall 14 RPN program? I'm nervous and am hoping that I get an acceptance early on.

I had a friend who got a late acceptance near the end of July last year.

What are your marks?

What are your HOAE marks?

Do you have any education besides high school?

Have you applied to other schools? Which ones?

I believe some acceptances were posted on Mocomotion today. I have a conditional offer pending finishing up one more Pre-req.

Hey Wingsup, how do you know that your offer is conditional? Does it say on the Mocomotion site or are you just assuming since you're still in the process of taking a pre req? Congrats by the way!

It says on the MocMotion site "Conditional Offer" which was updated yesterday from "no decision".

Okay great, thank you so much! I read in a post from a couple years ago that all offers are conditional, and it doesn't say anywhere that mine is, so I was a bit confused! I'm taking a couple courses right now and I didn't want them to affect my offer.

Congrats! @laurk

Thanks, you too! See you in September! :)

Congrats Laurk and Wingsup! I've also accepted an offer for September 2014 and am very excited. I'm making a career change and am looking forward to the challenge. Hope to meet you all soon!

Congrats to you too julles - career change for me as well. Excited and nervous.

Congratulations Julles! What are the two of you doing currently (professionally) if you don't mind me asking? Do you have previous post secondary education? How long has it been since you've been out of school? Also, did anyone on here apply to programs other than nursing/what other schools did you apply to (for nursing or otherwise)?

If anyone else would like to share their answers that'd be great as well! :)

I took early retirement from a 25 year airline career (I'm a very mature student :)). It has been a very long time since my original school days so I went back to Mohawk to refresh my knowledge with the GAS program and to get back in school mode. I did apply to Niagara but they do not accept in progress Pre-reqs. I really wanted Mohawk anyway.

Wingsup, your user name makes a lot more sense now :sneaky: From what I've read, a lot of students in this program are mature/second career like yourself. That's surprising that Niagara wouldn't take in progress courses, I guess they don't take a lot of students straight from high school then!

Congratulation for acceptance to all future peers! I also got acceptance for Mohawk college and now I am working on all pre requisite what they ask. But the most stressing is assessment for success, actually the essay. Did any of you booked that test? Have you done with it and if you did what topics are on test? Thank you so much and good luck with everything.
