Modesto Junior College (MJC) ADN Fall 2024/Spring 2025

Hi all!  This will be my 2nd attempt at MJC.  Hoping to apply with at least 81 this year 0_0.

Hi ! I noticed we are in the same groups. I am wondering if you will pick mjc or Merced? Like you, I was also accepted into both programs. It's a blessing for sure but I am having such a hard time deciding since one is far fall and one is for Spring. Are you picking mjc or Merced? I know mjc is a great school and was my top choice bc it's closer to me. But if I choose Merced I could start sooner. But Merced is 50 min drive from my house... do you think its worth it to wait for Mjc?

Hi Congratulations again! For me, since both are Spring starts, I am definitely going to MJC, it's literally a 10 min drive from my home. I feel like commuting to Merced for clinicals would be a challenge, seeing that we could be there for 10-12 hours. It's a tough choice to make, but I would choose what makes you feel confident in succeeding. Also, in Modesto, our clinicals will be here and the possibility of us transitioning into new grad RN residency would make us viable candidates. Best of luck!

Also, if anyone can answer this, is there a confirmation email that was sent after declaration of intent email?

Hi! There was no confirmation email after we send our letters, I was also wondering as I wanted to make sure they received it.. but no confirmation on my end !

I would like to know this as well! I just sent mine twice just in case it did not go through the first time.

To whoever was accepted for Spring, my counselor created a new ED plan for me with the classes we will be taking starting Spring until the end of the program if anyone would like to know what classes are in what order!

Of course! So our first semester in Spring we will start with pharmacology and fundamentals. Then for fall 2025 we will take geriatrics and maternal child. Next for Spring 2026 we will take mental health and medical surgical , and last for fall 2026 we will take advanced medical surgical ! And Summer we have our Summer breaks ! And I believe we graduate the end of fall 2026 , late December

Has anyone heard back even as a rejection letter? I haven't heard anything and it's making me second guess if I even submitted everything

When I got rejected last year I didn't get a rejection email until August. I had thought the same thing too

Wow! That's just mean. Oh well. I got accepted to the San Mateo location (I live in Tracy) so it is what it is. I wish I got the closer one.
