Hello everyone, 

I wanted to make a forum for all applicants for MJC 2021. We can all share our questions, concerns, share our points/TEAS scores, and updates we get from the school!

Any updates? I haven't heard back but hopefully we don't have to wait until July.

I haven't I wish people would keep posting their points. I applied with 76 I think and am not sure what cut off will be.

Good afternoon, the allied health department said we won't know until July. They are take the COVID amount and will most likely go back to PRE- COVID amount for the next application period. I applied with 80 pts to MJC and I do not expect to get selected.

I applied with 85 points but I was accepted at Delta.  So if I do get accepted to Modesto I won’t be accepting my spot, so that will free up at least one spot on the waitlist!

Really? You don't? The counselor told me students have gotten in with 75 points and that 80's was extremely competitive.

Yeah considering the point cut off was about 78 last application period I would say 80 is competitive. Maybe not flying colors but definitely looking really good.

Thank you for the support. I just feel bit uneasy about it because it is near the cut-off and there are a lot of different variables in place as we know. I am enrolled into the CNA program just in case if I don't get selected this upcoming application.

How long have you been applying to programs?

I think your points are very competitive too! I know we are all just excited/anxious/nervous but we are almost at the time of finding out ? we’ve gotten through more than 3/4 of the waiting time ? since we applied Feb 1st! We got this! I heard that the last cohort found out around June 21st and they were also advised they wouldn’t hear until sometime in July. So if the trend is the same then I hope we will find out then too. 
Fingers toes legs and arms are crossed LOL

I finished all my pre reqs in 2019. 2020 took a sabbatical to focus on my health. Just started applying this year.

Thank you for the support! Yes that is the usual they said. I would of course like to be selected, but I would prefer to be in January so I can have some experience on the floor as a CNA. This is a second career for me, I am bit older.

Unfortunately no, I emailed the allied health dept, they said emails will be sent out in July
