Modesto Junior College Fall 2021

Published

Hello everyone,

I wanted to make a forum for all applicants for MJC 2021. We can all share our questions, concerns, share our points/TEAS scores, and updates we get from the school!

Good luck everybody!

Hello everyone, I will be applying with 80 pts to MJC. Little discouraged it may not be enough due to the circumstances of COVID and clinical placements. I plan on retaking the TEAS in a couple weeks to improve my score for more points. If not selected I plan on obtaining a CNA license in the Summer and then re apply to MJC and other schools.

I think you will get in. I haven’t heard about any adjustments made for clinical placements for covid, only for fall 2020 entrance. Hopefully they found a way to make it work. I spoke to someone who was in the program and she said they are all getting their clinicals done first at the beginning of the semester so everyone can get theirs finished. don't take my word for it though, it’s just word of mouth. I wish they would give more updates about the application period, as it literally opens in 4 days. I’m still trying to find dates for Merced and Delta.

Thank you I appreciate the support. I attended one of the meetings for the ADN program and the director said it all depends on the COVID. Lets all hope they take the regular amount as usual, thus allowing all of us to be selected.

I know Delta opens their application usually in March. Merced I am not too sure. I am debating on MJC, Stan State, or Fresno State. Delta I may consider, but they go by a quarter system rather than a semester system.

Woah that’s a lot of points! Are you an LVN with a bachelors?

I have 78 points. TEAS 91.3. I’m applying to Modesto but if I get in in Fresno or Merced I’ll go there instead.

No LVN or bachelors. I have couple associate degrees. No medical experience.

That a good score as well especially your TEAS. I’m retaking the test in a couple weeks in hopes to score higher to boost my points.

Did you have your courses evaluated?

I did mine last week, they all transferred fortunately. I took prereqs at Merced and Fresno.

Yes they are all evaluated. I sent my official transcript last year in November and requested all classes to be evaluated.

Hi everyone !  Goodluck to you all.  Also, the application cycle is technically for Fall/Spring.  They only have one application cycle and they randomly place applicants into Fall and Spring cohorts.  I hope this helps you all with planning and applying to other schools!  It sucks that some people who get in will have to wait another semester.  I would reccomend if you are really trying for Fall to apply to Delta College in Stockton.  I am also applying there.  I think I will have 85 points at both colleges.  Goodluck everyone!

I actually prefer to start Spring 2022 because my 2 year old will be 3 years old and hopefully better able to adjust to less time with me ?

Ladies,

Please help me out...I have 77 points total I honestly don't know if I should do MJC campus or Colombia college since I not over the 80 points. If it was you what would you do?

I have my counseling appointment for transcript evaluation tomorrow and waiting for Feb 1st to apply.

Good luck to everyone applying.

How do I make an appointment to evaluate my transcript?

What's the difference between the Columbia location and the Modesto location?

I sent my original  transcript to MJC college and they sent me an email that transcript is received and if I want an evaluation fill out the form that was attached to the email. It took them about a week to evaluate my transcript. But you also need to make an appointment with counselor (better with nursing counselor) and they can fill out this form.
