Hi. I will be applying at MJC and Delta. I have a total of 76 points if my AA isnt posted by application time. If it is I will have 78 points total.
I got 85% on the Teas and 4.0 for the gpa sections. Also will get 2 points for first generation and 1 point for each of the three optional classes. I haven't heard much about cutoff for previous years at MJC. Im hoping it is below 76 this year though :) Right now MJC is my first choice school
I never considered applying to mjc until this week. I don't really know much about their program. How do they determine who starts in the fall and who starts in the spring? Also, do either of you know what the typical schedule looks like for the week and which hospitals they use for clinicals?
I know from taking classes at both that Modesto has more hours when you are in class, but the semester is a month shorter. For example, at Delta a class might be an hour on Tues and Thurs. At Modesto the same class would start about a week earlier than Delta and be 1.5 hours each Tues and Thurs. Modesto is out a month earlier at the end. I would assume the nursing program is like this too but I do not know for sure
Mjc starts one week earlier than Delta, but gets out 4 weeks earlier. I think just adding the extra week at the beginning and the 1/2 hour each class period really adds up. So I guess technically its only 3 weeks shorter not a month. The workload never feels any harder or more fast paced at MJC at all. Ive taken sciences at both schools

Hi Everyone. I will be applying to MJC nursing program this May 2016/17. I will be taking my Teas early April for the first time, but so far without my Teas I have 68 points on my application. Anyone who is applying to mjc, I'd love to get an idea where everyone else is at and what my chances might be. Also if you could share what you scored on your teas and what do u think the cut off would be this year... So excited to hear back from u all :) :)
