Nursing Drug App

Published

Good morning, fellow nurses. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good nursing drug app for Android. I used to have flash cards that separated the drugs into category by body systems. For example, under Cardiac all cardiac drugs were on flash cards with action, side effects etc. I'm going to purchase that again as I lost them and want to brush up on my meds. I believe it was Pharmacy Phlash. Loved it.

I would like something on my phone, however, for downtime while doing private duty nursing. (My pt sleeps a lot.) I do have Davis Drug Guide on my phone, but I want something with categories. Davis doesn't have drug categories by body system. I'm searching the app store, but if anyone knows of a good one, please share! I'm willing to pay a little bit too to have full access.

In practice I use Epocrates & Medscape. I used to use an app called iTriage, but it is no longer supported. It was great to review treatments & diagnostics for certain diagnoses. I loved that it also had a differential diagnosis feature. Not sure if that's what you're looking for since you mentioned a flashcard app.

Thanks! I have medscape. I'll check out the other one. Mainly I'm looking for drugs in categories of body systems to study a category at a time. Doesn't need to be flashcard, that was just how pharm Phlash did it. Thanks again!
