MJC ADN vs San Joaquin Delta ADN

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello all. I was just accepted to both Modesto Junior College and San Joaquin Delta College. I am just so confused which program to choose! Has anyone attended the ADN program at either or have any advice for me? I can't find what hospitals MJC does clinicals at and I can't find many professor ratings for them. I'm so confused. Also can anyone tell me what hospitals might be better in Modesto, Stockton, Manteca, Tracy area?

Thanks!

Hi quixani and congrats on being accepted to the nursing program. I am currently in MJC ' S ADN program and love it! All the instructors are awesome and so supportive. They want you to succeed and be great nurses to take care of them someday :) Just go visit the nursing skills lab and Sim lab. It's amazing. We run scenarios in Sim lab that are things that we can't normally do in the hospital as students and are recorded and played back. Everything is state of the art and new. The hospitals we do clinicals at are Doctor's Medical Center, Memorial Medical Center, and Emmanuel Medical Center. All our lectures are recorded to watch later for studying. Hope this helps you to make your decision. Good luck!

Thank you! Unfortunately (or fortunately) I had to decide before I saw your post. I chose Delta but I really appreciate the post and information!

I'm currently in the 2nd semester at the Delta College ADN program. I really like it so far the instructors are great and everything is manageable, but I plan on transferring to MJC in the Fall for 3rd Semester if possible. I'm from Modesto and the commute can get annoying with all the construction going on and traffic jams at times. Anyone from the MJC program here can tell me about the first two semesters and how they're liking them? Thanks

Hi quixani. How is it going at delta? Im applying to both delta and MJC. Of course I dont know yet if I will be accepted to both but my points are in the mid 70s for both so I am hopeful. I have been trying to get info about how Delta's program is but haven't had much luck. Thanks :)

I just found out that MJC placed me in Spring semester for ADN program. I got accepted to Delta for Fall. At his point I am probably going to Delta college as I would start sooner and get finished 8 months before those starting in spring. Could anyone who transferred from Delta to MJC, or vice verca share their experience?
