My heart is still in Missouri....

I just wanted to stop in and say hello from sunny California! An interesting journey it has been from moving to California, then back to St. Louis for nursing school, and now back to California after my recent graduation. I still have to take the NCLEX and I won't be starting my new nursing job until the end of February, but I'm glowing over replacing my "student nurse" title with "new graduate." It seems like just yesterday that I was sitting in orientation scared out of my mind!

I'm not missing St. Louis too much right now because of the weather factor (man, was it cold there when I left!), but I will always miss it regardless. I will also be checking in to our Missouri forum often to see what's going on, so keep the posts/threads coming!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season!

Hi back at ya' STL....I'm actually in Rancho Cucamonga tonight; going back to Riverside, CA visiting family/friends this week!! The weather has been terrific, but we weren't doing bad in the Loo when I left either!!

Glad you got settled back in in So. CA....I wish you the best as you study for and get ready to take your test!! You'll do great!!

Glad you're staying in touch!

I'll be starting my second semester the week of the 15th!! :o

Thanks so much, wdwpixie! I'm finally settled in and now I'm going out of my mind with boredom! It's nice to have the break, but sheesh. It's hard to go from constant studying and pressure in nursing school to absolutely nothing on the agenda. Just goes back to the whole idea that nursing students NEVER rest....

Hope your trip to SoCal was great! Enjoy the weekend, and best of luck as you begin your second semester. Time goes by fast, huh?
