New to the Tupelo/Pontotoc area-job hntg

U.S.A. Mississippi

My wife and I are in the process of moving to the area, we should be closing on our new house with in 6 weeks. I am looking for help and advise? I don't want to break any rules being new but I think these questions are ok and not a enlistment thing. If wrong please advise.

Are there any sign on bonus/relocation monies being offered in this area?

What can I expect with >20 yrs er/icu experience? I will be calling the board in am, how long does it take to get a license?

Thanks for any replies,

Help me please!!!!

sorry about that, thought for a moment I was back in the er lobby with out my badge and could not get into the er....

Hey guys/gals,

My wife and I are coming up 4-23 to the 24th to look at a house and I would like some input on a good place to consider to work at. I will do my research but just would like a path to follow to the light..... The last place I interviewed at was Alabama-Birmingham when we almost bought a house there....A great way to check out a ER is to go the day before your interview and sit in the ER lobby for 1-2 hours.... you really get an idea of what the variables are...gotta say the patients were certainly alot nicer than what I am use to..

come on, any body with a GPS??? Whats a good pplace to start..

Thanks

Did you track down some places?

North Mississippi Medical Center has hospitals in both Tupelo and Pontotoc. Drive about 40 minutes (from Pontotoc) to Oxford and there's a ton and a half of doctor's offices plus Baptist Memorial Hospital - North mississippi.

Hope that helps!

twinmama,

I have not. I am coming in on the 15th to close on our new house then return to work in the new orleans area for a week then will start to look. Any suggestions other than North Miss., don't they have a branch in Pontotoc? Any idea on the pay? 26 years...

Thanks

baptist memorial hospital in new albany, the pay i have no clue about, you may can call around and ask them, look up the pay on the internet at payscale.com or at salary.com and put in the zip code you will have. hope this helps.
