Sent you a PM :)Your usual scrubs may not be acceptable. My friend was shocked when I wore a set of black pants and scrub top and told here that was how I (we) always went to work.
Yes! Cultural awareness is so important. I've not been to India, but I've been several other places in which respecting the cultural dress was so helpful in delivery of care. I've actually become quite a "rebel" in some respects in that I always try to dress appropriate for that culture, even if told that they wouldn't expect me to as a medical professional. It's interesting how it actually seems to open doors/help.
This next part doesn't have anything to do with your original question, but be sure to hydrate well. I was in Nepal in August, and didn't follow my own rule too well.......not fun! And, I did dress culturally appropriately, too---tunic tops, slacks were fine there.
Have fun! And, godspeed!

I will be going to india on a medical trip, I was wondering if any nurses have been there and can give me pointers or suggestions?
Thank you
