I just finished my ccrn exam and i passed first time ever taking that test.I took my cen exam dec 2010 after 2 year exp in er and i passed the first time alsoI have never touched and no actual hands on experience with an iabp, pulm artery cath, icp monitoring, but i guess i proved that you dont need any to pass this test as long as you have good critical thinkng skills and the ideas behind those monitoring system.I thInk the next step is to get into critical care transporting and get the ctrn along the way.Good job to me! *pads own back* =P
Congrats on your accomplishments. I'm thinking about following a similar pathway. Have you found any RN > Paramedic bridge programs? I know some states have them. Also, is there a time frame required before taking CEN? 2 years of appropriate clinical practice? I don't see myself taking that test before the 2 year mark, just curious.

Ryan,
Congrats! Did you use the PASS CCRN book for your practice exams, if not which ones do you recommend?
