Missed exam day, question regarding rescheduling

Published

So I go in to take my exam at 8:00 AM, wait in the lobby and my number gets called. Hand my ID over to the Pearson Vue employee and find out my ID was expired.

I get it, 200 dollars down the drain, I should be more responsible, I already renewed all my identification etc.

My question is do I have to re-register on the California BON website for re-examination or not. I'm already a repeat tester, this test would have been my 2nd attempt. I just got off live chat with Pearson Vue and they weren't sure. I've tried calling the CA BRN but calls never get through to a person. If anything I'll just drive up to Sacramento to get an answer.

I've seen posts in the past where people did have to pay their BON again, but nothing concrete on California. There isn't anything specific about this on the CA BRN website either.

I am lisenced under NY I called them and they send me ATT next day! Then you must r/s within 45 days.

Good luck!

I'm also from CA and missed my nclex appointment last week, I was told by Pearson Vue that all I need to do was to re-register and pay for $200. Not sure about CA BRN if we have to reapply since we have not taken the test at all. Have you contacted the BRN? I'd like to know your outcome as your situation was similar to mine.

After eventually getting to an operator from the BRN I was told that I had to re-apply examination since that counted as an "attempt". So I had to pay the 150 for the BRN and now i have to wait for a new ATT in order to schedule. I'm really angry at myself but I guess i'll take this time to just keep doing questions.

Wow! That's a bummer. Will the 45 days affect you since you did not take the exam?

I hope it does not take long to get a new ATT..
