A few weeks ago someone posted some info about Minot hiring nurses. I can't seem to find the post and was wondering if anyone recalls the name of the staffing agency to contact. I'm interested in finding out more. Also if anyone has any insight into what life is like there (I know it's cold!!!) I would love to hear it.

I know this question was for RNnurse84 but I had also an interview with med/surg manger few weeks ago and she said 20. something cents/hr for new grad RN.
Wow that is so bad. Specially with the rent being so darn high if you can even find a place. But I know how hard it is for new grads to get a job. Just think of it as a 2 year internship.

i'm from california and just applied to a few positions at trinity health. i was wondering how long it took for them to get back to you? any good housing resources besides craigslist? i've searched minot on a few apartment websites, but nothing comes up.

took about a week and half to get an interview and then a week for an offer. i'm from california too, i've tried calling apartments and all i hear is we are filled.

Can anyone please share some info about housing in minot? My manager wants me to be there by end of october and I just can't find a housing!!!!! :( Please help....

Good luck. I heard there is no housing available in Minot period. I sure hope someone else here can give you better news.:(

I posted about this job opportunity on the job hunting thread but no one seems to be interested in this position :(. I just wanted to share some info about a job opportunity in US virgin islands (I know its not about minot but if you are considering moving to ND, I just want you to consider this option as well). I just found about this job today and talked to the nurse recruiter. I think this opportunity is great for new grad RN like us.

She said she takes new grads too and she said she will need 50 of RNs. So if you are interested in this position, please send your email address to me or reply to this post. -Location: hospital in US virgin island

-Salary: $63000 with 2 year contract

You can postpone it, if you can't find housing. i was supposed to start this month, but i called and told them i couldn't find housing and asked if i could start Nov, and they said yes. I still can't find housing though - thinking of giving up if i can;t find housing.

The starting salary for an RN in the US Virgin Islands is is 44,912 a year working 80 hours in 2 weeks. The salary increase to 63,000 has NOT been approved. Don't believe it until you see it. Again there are negotiations but it is NOT official. And the whole post from this person is quite odd. Why would you go to LA for an interview???

It all sounds kind of fishy.
