I need help from someone who can a ? about background checks

my friend is trying to get her cna license but she is araid she wont be able to because she moved here from virginia. back in virginia she committed a felony of credit card theft of 1 count and a misdemeanor of the same . both charges were the same incident and same card but it was with her mother. now does minnesota check other states for felonys to get licensed or is it just minnesota they check. please help me find the answer.

They check all states. (though it may depend on the facility. When I started as a CNA....they did a full 7 year backround check. I had moved from GA and I remember seeing everything on it (even speeding tickets!)

this is not something we here at allnurses.com can answer. every state has its own regulations and it's against the terms of service for anyone at the site to give what amounts to legal advice. encourage your friend to contact whatever department handles cna certification (cna's are not licensed) in her state and ask them directly.
